While I agree with the intention of your post, there is one small thing you should clarify. Prostitution in Clark County, Nevada (Where Las Vegas is located) is ILLEGAL!

If you are careful when you travel to the Philppines, or any Asian country for that matter, the chance of you having problems are very low. I have seen guys walk around drunk in AC at 3:00 am. That is not being careful. He may be a target for crime. However, if you hang-out in AC during the day or evening (or other places in the Philippines during the same time) you should not have a problem.

During the past 28 years, I have visited Asian countries. During the past 14 years, I have lived in Asia. During the past 28 years, I have visited the Philippines more than 75 times. I have been to many places in the Philippines. During that time, I have never encountered robbery, kidnapping, or extortion, as you have stated. However, I have experienced folks asking for handouts. However, I think you would agree, that happens all over the world in country. That is simply a fact of life.

Regarding the murders in AC. When a person digs a little deeper regarding those murders, most were have turned out to be murders for hire. if you are careful when you travel to the philppines, or any asian country for that matter, the chance of you having problems are very low. i have seen guys walk around drunk in ac at 3:00 am. that is not being careful. he may be a target for crime. however, if you hang-out in ac during the day or evening (or other places in the philippines during the same time) you should not have a problem.

during the past 28 years, i have visited asian countries. during the past 14 years, i have lived in asia. during the past 28 years, i have visited the philippines more than 75 times. i have been to many places in the philippines. during that time, i have never encountered robbery, kidnapping, or extortion, as you have stated. however, i have experienced folks asking for handouts. however, i think you would agree, that happens all over the world in country. that is simply a fact of life.

regarding the murders in ac. when a person digs a little deeper regarding those murders, most were have turned out to be murders for hire. that is, the people that were killed because of a businss deal gone bad, bar ownder pissed off someone, etc. or, someone not being careful and walking down a dark street alone and drunk in the early morning.

another thing on safety is in regards to walking around or even being in a vehicle. these people are idiots on bikes and cars and trikes. they play a game of chicken constantly with you at speeds where you can get hurt sometimes real badly especially if they miss. whether you are at fault or not does not matter. the foreigner most likely will pay.
