Santo Domingo

Having received little advice yesterday, I decided to avoid SlipOnMe (great website) when a phone call could not confirm full service. I also avoided an estetica (Capillar on Calle 2 and Cervantes) , and read some more reviews on GBP.

Of course, I had to find the location of GBP on ANOTHER website that came up when I googled "GBP and Santo Domingo"

The other site said 27 Febrero between Avenidas Lincoln and Tiradentes, down the block from National Grocery Store, across the street but on the same side of the street as Arismedy Motores, in the Guidry strip mall, second floor, with GBP in neon over the door. I would add that it across the boulevard from Jade asian restaurant.

Pros: I was out numbered by 5 chicas, I was the only customer. 3 of the chicas were spinners and kinda cute, one was rather big boned, and one was tall, dark and saucy. I cose a spinner and was surprised by how passionate she was, how there was no upsell from the basic price of 1, 000 pesos and it included BBBJ and a nice massage. Cons: loud music, lack of doors on the private rooms (curtains!), slim sofas to do your stuff versus beds (although the next day I got a room with some fold out cushions we put on the floor), lack of showers, sleazily decorated bar

3. Families vacationing don't have to dodge mongers streaming Putas on those investments.

5. It gives local government back control of its tax base.

6. It stops pandering of impoverished women and reduces putas prices.

Although the estettica was a very good opticion, it was hard to find and a cabby commented there were comparable locations much closer to the neighbgorhood I was staying in. Good times.

On this trip, I am constrained by my choice of hotels (not chica friendly) , the non-mongering coworkers who are staying at the hotel, and family members in town. Hence, I have come to appreciate GBP. Sure, it is a 'walk on the wild side' and reminds one of the Calle 6 Tico places in San Jose, but what it lacks in amenities (showers, large enough flat surfaces to do the horizontal Mambo) it makes up for in service (warm, eager to please chicas, Many of whom could be described as "cute") and price (DoP 100). I have visited Thursday, Friday, and Saturday and identified the core line-up of 6 providers and the weekend augmentation of another 2. With the exception of the big boned corn-fed gal, and the one that could play the lead in a remake of "Cleopatra Schwartz" (for you kids too young to remember the Kentucky Fried Movie, look it up on Youtube) , the rest were spinners. After paying too much and being subjected to too much propina begging, I find the GBP experience refreshing.

Yesterday afternoon I took a tiny (4'9") dark tenderoni to the back room. Unlike my Friday selection, Gabriela had never seen a female condom before, but was willing to try. She had braces, but was willing to do BBBJ. (I had interviewed Mia, who was taller, prettier, and younger, but she failed the interview when she insisted on CBJ....but just because of the braces...y'know.) Going to GBP, the driver got confused and I practically had to draw a strip map to get him to understand where I wanted to go after he took me to the wrong Nacional Supermarket.

I did some walking in the early evening. Leaving the Jaragua Hotel I was accosted by a shoe shine boy within my first 50 feet off hotel property but kept walking. I was hungry and stopped by a neighborhood eatery, whose cook did not report to work that day. Ate at Charlie's (#9 Felix Mariano Lluberes): delicious,but expensive, 563 pesos for grilled chicken breast, yuca, avocados, and a glass of lemonade. Walked up the block to Independencia and found some of the land marks on the Jaososua monger map. Will look for 305, and the Pastuer street casas/clubs tonight, and seee if the closed ones have re-opened.

Although I know that there is drug related crime and murder rate is high if you are not into drugs or visiting troubled areas you are a lot safer here than in Dominican Republic. It is a fact that because of a wall constructed between US and Mexico borders part of the drug traffic from central and South America now moves to the USA using the Caribbean as a bridge and that arrests of drug dominican-puertorican groups have become more common in recent years.

About recent crackdown on Santo Domingo, while girls are still on need on $ they are going to find their ways to reach us customers. In 1998 Puerto Rican goverment closed and torn down a few places including Caribbeans most famous brothel, the Black Angus. Prostitution did not stopped, it just changed they way it is serviced. Massage parlors now populate the touristic area, the banking zone and the university area, they have no signs and advertise on internet as regular massage places. It is a well know fact that prostitutes populates large hotel lobby's in San Juan but they look like regular girls, you just ask a bartender and he will tell you which one is a working girl (BTW these girls are hot hot hot). Jaragua, for example, is more like San Juan hotels now. In the past Jaragua putas where more hardcore, now most of them look like regular girls, it is harder to know at first which girl is in search of customers but after a few minutes you can distinguish in most cases who is who.
