Thanks Cuba,
I already considered that and am prepared to take the usual precautions but I expect us to be in each other's company full time.
I appreciate the thought though.
SK
SK,
If you're together the whole time, no need to register her. But hey it's your choice. If the room comes with 2 breakfasts, they don't care who eats them. But you could always keep stuff in the room safe. I was staying in a hotel with a girl exactly half my age too. But I registered the room under her name to take advantage of the cheaper rate I could get using her KTP.
Hi guys,
I am planning to go to Jakarta end of March and was looking for a good 5 star girl friendly hotel, the kind that doesn't require you to walk the walk of shame with I'd, registration, etc.
Also, it should be in the general nightclubs area, like Req Square and others.
Any suggestions are welcome.
There are many hotels you could stay in: anything from Shangri-La, Le Meridien and Mulia. What you need to decide is your hotel budget. No need to register the girl in any of these (or most other) hotels. Please refer below.
1. Is your business partner queer? Be a man, not a.
2. If the hotel doesn't let her enter, then change hotels.
3. Courtesy to other families and guests? Who the fu*k gives a shit about other guests? Its your money. Enjoy it.
4. Oh boy, don't waste your time dating the receptionist, you are a newbie, hey man the old proverb "don't shit where you live"
Guys,
I haven't logged in in a while and I noticed this response above.
1. Sometimes different people may have different sensitivities / points of view. So we may not wish to reveal another side of our own nature (common sense really unless you know someone well enough).
2. The only hotels in Jakarta that have any issue with girls coming to your room are the Syariah compliant hotels eg Sofyan chain. All the rest have NO ISSUES and it is entirely unnecessary to register your girl (unlike in Thailand). I have been in many hotels with girls in various types of outfits (from very classy to very "working girl") and have NEVER been stopped, queried or asked to register the girl. They may check with you when the girl is leaving however, to make sure everything is ok. WITH YOU. I sometimes book double occupancy and only turn up as one person checking in as I don't know whether the girl will end up staying for breakfast. I have not had any problems and I'm sure most hotels are familiar with what happens around town. So no need to be unduly concerned.
3. Being courteous to other guests is a matter of your own comfort. You might feel more at ease if the girl dresses in a less "obvious" fashion and you'd be surprised how many of them pack something more decent to wear in the morning; they too have some sense of modesty and while they don't mind the sexy clothing at night, normally hesitate to wander around like that in the daytime.
4. You can date the receptionist. But she'd lose her job really quickly if the management catches them "fraternizing" so if anything's possible they may suggest meeting you at another hotel. It does help if she doesn't see you go for the more obviously commercial girls (they do have pride) depending on why they want to meet you. There are some who are seeking a side income, some seeking pleasure and some seeking both - YMMV. I didn't realize that a senior member with around 600 posts was a newbie...
