I want to start doing my homework now, but don't know were to start. Been out of the game to long. LOL. Your expertise will be highly appreciated. I want to have the time of my life, but I want to be smart and Safe about It.

It's Saturday and I was supposed to meet this lady I met on Tagged. We had been talking previously to my arrival. She lives in the area near Andy sports bar and since I was familiar with the area, she spoke english, we were not far in age, birthdays were 4 days apart, facebook friends and build chemistry, I decided to ride out with her. For guys who prefer apartment style vacations opposed to hotels. Howeaway. Com has apartment near el conde for 50 60 dollars. These are some very good deals. I have done this a few time and it was great experience. The neighborhood is decent and the locals typically friendly. They have places all over the city and country. Guest friendly is no longer and issue These deals are really good if you have a wing man or a group. There are nice affordable mutli room condo as well.

Anyone have any success meetings FL on El Conde? I do not hear it mentioned much on the board.

Also if anyone is familiar with Star of Light in Bangkok is GBP a similiar set up? I. E. Chat with the girls at the bar for a moment and sex in front of everyone? Just curious.

Does anyone have any experience with or know who can unlock a US cell phone in the DR? Only Verizon will sell a semi unlocked phone; AT&T and T-Mobile will not unless you buy it full price. I have a Iphone 5S from T-Mobile I want unlocked.

It should not run you more than RD200 to get it unlocked.

Unless you are living there and MUST have a brand new iPhone, I would personally lock that phone in the safe and bring an unlocked QUAD band phone down I bought off eBay that I would not have a heart attack when it gets "misplaced".

For some reason my chicas in the DR are telling me that the iphones cannot be unlocked for use in the DR.

here in germany we do not have many locked cell phones (actually t-mobile did it as well here in the past), but there are a lot shops and people on the internet that would unlock them illegal for a fee.

he has a shop in santo domingo near the napolitano hotel. he is actually american that live there. i wanted to repair my old iphone in his shop. i had email contact with him. on my old iphone 4 was the home button broken. when i was there i put a claro card in it and opened a wifi with the phone and logged in with my iphone 4s which was also locked at that time. that worked for me and i did not brought it to the shop for repair. but you could ask that guy if he also can unlock phones.

or do it like i did and take also your old smartphone, when it is possible with it to open a wi-fi. and log into that wi-fi with your 5s. the speed is so crappy there anyway it does not matter.

I don't want to go in to detail here but pose the question in the gogo forum and I will explain in detail. Guys here don't like to stray too far away from sex topics.

Briefly, the are two kinds of unlocks. 1) factory, thru Apple. 2) bootleg unlock, which means you aren't authorized. Tmobile will have to request an unlock code from Apple when you pay the phone off. Then the ESN (electronic serial number) is documented. That's authorized unlock.

Before doing so, make sure the phone companies, I. E, Claro, Orange or Viva, have a SIM for the 5s. I don't know if it's the same size as the iPhone 5. I'm fairly certain the 5s is not for sale yet in the DR and if the SIM is a unique size, you won't be able to use it in the DR.

I wish I hadn't done it because I am leery about taking it out of my pocket, it is a thief magnet for sure. Just get a cheap phone off of Ebay and bring that.

E, flipkey. Com, vacationrentals. Com, etc. The reporter experimented by trying to rent apartments in NYC. The outcome was very mixed. Most people didn't respond, one person canceled at the last moment (there's no practical recourse) , photos were deceiving, etc. The reporter also had good experiences. So, it can be risky unless you can somehow verify the veracity of the owner. Many of the sites offer reviews so you can get a feel for the owner's integrity.

Having said that, I rented an apartment last week in Sosua for a week through homeaway. While there were a couple of minor problems, all in all it was an excellent experience, I saved a lot of money and had a real apartment to live in big enough for 2, completely furnished. However, the rentals were controlled by the manager of the condo complex who came recommended, so it wasn't so risky. I imagine each place has their own rules. Here, you were allowed to have chicas visit but they couldn't use the pool.

The point is, you can great deals but you need to be careful and do your homework. I took a look at Santo Domingo and see apartments in the colonial zone for $60 / night. Remember, there's no tax but there could be other fees. Like, I was hit with electric. Granted, it wasn't much for a week, but it was never discussed until I got there.

T-Mobile sent me the unlock code for my phone as soon as I bought it on the payment plan. I have been with them since 2002 though. Maybe you are a new customer?
