Yes, you can buy dinner for 12 at a restaurant for $120, but you cannot expect have that dinner catered to your place for the same price. Same issue as thinking that it should cost you the exact same to get a car stereo installed at a shop versus them coming to your place and installing it. The time and hassle for them to come to you versus you coming to them should cost something. I'm not saying full price, but definitely not $200 either. To me, SOMETHING to cover the time and hassle for them is not asking too much.

My experience was good, but most important is that their website is very well organized and before you rent, you get a lot of relevant information: Good photos, location, description, amenities, etc.

And you also can find the commentaries of other customers. Which is crucial.

All in all it was a good experience. Specially for Rio, where nowadays you probably get the worse hotel deals in the world: Mostly old or expensive. Or both.

My thing is if its such a hassle to come by and make some extra money then please by all means don't come. I'm not the kinda guy who likes to put people out of their way. On a serious note the key here is making it known that you will go in another direction real quick if you sense BS. These girls are smart and they know what they're doing. There prob are a few who won't budge and will only accept the same fee you'd pay the terma. They are def the minority though. And honestly they're prob doing you a favor anyway because they prob didn't really want to see you outside of the terms in the first place and would have given a sub par performance. There are TONS of terms chicks that will work for far less that the terms rate. It's laughable that they're quoting anything near the terms rate.

Well this Monday night was my last full night in Brazil. Have to head to the airport this evening, get back to the USA and maybe even work a bit.

I decided to make a return visit to Termas Cancun in Centro. But I think I made a make by get there just after 4PM, the boate was dead at that time. Two guys (including myself) and a handful of ladies siting around talking to each other. A few of the dames lopked OK but nothing that made me want to immediately pounce. Didn't see any of the better looking women I saw last Friday and I figured that they hadn't arrived yet. I wasn't in the mood to sit around until five o'clock or so to see if the scene would improve so I left after about 20minutes. For entrance + 1 beer I was charged R$50 so no big deal. No doubt when I return I'll make it a point to show later in the day and probably Wednesdays to Fridays would be better. I'm just guessing.

From O Centro I hopped on the metro and rode to the Zona Sul. Walked from the station to Monte Carlo Termas; arriving there just before 6PM. I changed, showered, etc. : walked up the stairs to the boate and it was mellow but of course far livelier than at Cancun. Grabbed a RedBull and sat for a few minutes before a thick lady came up to chat with me. She was cool and all and we talked for a few minutes but I had to tell her she wasn't my type and that I was still looking a bit. To get a change of scenery I walked into the Wiskeria and stared at the TV for a few minutes. Not long afterwards skinny little Fernanda comes in and hops on me. She said she had just arrived because all the rain & water on the roads made the trip from Tijuca very hazardous and time consuming. I had been with her my last visit and try not to repeat, but we sat there for quite a while with her on my lap; talking & watching sports on the tube. She pointed out that I could always go with another lady later and I was like,"You're right. Why not?" It helps that she has the body type I like (hardly an ounce of fat) and she is a quite skilled at the art of fellatio. So we go up, she changes, and we're off for a 1 hour romp. Once again I had a solid experience with her so what can you say. She says she may stop working in the Termas in a couple of months but I have her contact info (of course) so can we can meet for a future rendevous none-the-less.

Afterwards I go down to shower and briefly talk to some guys that are perhaps Eastern European, not sure, all I know that that one of them seemed overly interested in my body. Living in the San Francisco area, I'm used to meeting freaky guys and I just made it a point to show as little of my "goods" as possible.

Relaxed for a while before heading back up. When I returned to the boate it was just after 9PM. Fernanda seemed happy and was dancing around, she asked me for a drink and we talk a bit more. Then she asked."Are you going to have sex with another lady tonight?". I reply,"Possibly. Will you have sex with another guy?". Crazy talk for a bordello, No? There are a few other thin ladies there, both with very blonde hair (bottle blonde). I see enough of that when I'm in Europe so when in Brazil I prefer more exotic looks. Another lady with a thin body and brown hair I had been eyeing ever since my past trip. She was siting quietly in the boate and Fernanda had thankfully found a new "friend" to keep her distracted, so I sat down beside her and introduced myself. This lady called herself Lazia (I think) and she said that she could speak English as well as a few other languages. Turns out she can speak English, Port, Spanish, Italian, Japanese, Chinese WFT? At only 22 years of age too! As you might imagine she is quite intelligent & quite opinionated as well. She seemed to have some Africa features about her so I asked if she was a mulatta and she agreed to that description. Feeling her body I could tell that, though thin, she doesn't workout so not much tone. Oh well, you can't always have everything. We decided to head up after some chatting for my usual 1 hour. She turned out to be very passionated and also perfellatio well. I'm pretty long and she did a good job of getting down as deep as she could. After some good tonsil banging we switched over to 69 for a long session of double pleasure. By this time we were both ready for the main course, so we went to doogy and she got off in that position. She was squealling "Aye, Papi, Aye" like a latina. Have never met a Brasileira say "papi" before but I guess there's a first time for everything. By the time we left the room it was 11:30PM (how the time flys) and we bid farewell. I say bye to some of the ladys and head out. 2 ladys for 1 hour each + a handful of drinks = R$940. Not cheap, but I can't say I didn't get my moneys worth.

I had fun posting reports on Rio for a change. A lot of times I'm here but I rarely take the time to post much about the scene. Can't guarantee that I'll continue to do so in the future. Anyway, I depart tonight and will shift my sights to Europe where I plan to take my next tour of debauchery. Possibly hiting Germay or Spain as soon as next month. Not sure when I will come back to Brazil but it will definitely be sometime this year and I plan to visit other cities such as Curitiba, São Paulo along with RJ as well.

Are the women in Monte Carlos still forbidden from giving their numbers to clients? I know they used to be terrified that they would be caught and fired. Once in a blue moon, I could get a girl to sneak their number to me while I sat in the TV room. The whole time they would be staring at the doorway to see if anyone was coming in.

On the other hand, the girls at 4x4 would ask the front desk clerks for paper nd right their numbers down for me, right in front of the manager. I can only assume that the reason why the management in MC was so strict, was because the girls were already in Copa, where as the girls in 4x4 were in centro and had a longer commute to hook up with a clinet after work.

Free markets my friend. Free markets. She knows what you're paying and has the clear right and reasoning to ask for more than the cut she'd get at the terma, once she leaves the terma. If you don't like it and don't want to pay, this is the other side of the free market world. You can always go somewhere else. It's just odd that someone thinks that it's less work to come to your hotel and service you, than it is to be at the terma. They are taking more time and doing more work in most cases, than they would if they stayed at the terma for that time with a client. There is also higher risk that they'll get robbed, beat up, whatever, when they are not at the terma so risks are truly higher. More work means they have a right to feel that the additional work is worth more. If you don't think she's worth more than the $200, then no sale, you both miss out, but complaining that they are out of line is a bit odd when it's her choice to determine what value she places on her time, assets, and skills.

All through this, I'm not saying she's worth more than $200. I'm simply saying that with the additional work, time, hassle, and risks of leaving the terma rightfully have a higher value in her eyes. What that value is depends on how much you want her balanced with how far she's willing to go for the price you offer.

Theoretically are you correct? Yep. In reality, here on the ground in Rio, does anything you've written share an ounce of truth with the way gdps think or what goes on here? No. As others have pointed out the concept of "additional work, time, hassle and risks of leaving the terma" are complete BS (risks? What risks? O. O).

Or the terma girls who would sit at the beach front cafes looking for a customer? Should they be compensated just because they came all the way from home to try and make extra money? If that is your logic, then EVERY girl should get paid alot of money because the majority of them came from home.

I don't know if you have ever been to Rio or not because some of your points are off. But my point is, if a girl who works at MC is laying on "Hoe Beach" and she tells me she wants to get paid the same amount that I would pay at the terma, just so she can walk across the street to my apartment, then she is delusional.

Western economics do apply in this very case you're talking about. In fact, prostitution is one of the prime examples of free market economics in action. If she wanted the money that bad, she'd do it.

The bottom line is this, there are TONS of girls who will freelance for less than the terma rate. So if you want to pay the few who won't for their time, effort, and hassle 400BRL well you go right ahead. Like I said before the key is making it known that you're not even going to entertain such a thought. Once they see you even considering it well than they know they got your ass. Me, I'm going to laugh before they even finish telling me they want terma money. Will I loose a few? Yes I will but they're few and far between. Free markets my friend. The price of this service is the point at which what I'm willing to pay equals what they're willing to work for. For the overwhelming majority of girls that point is below what the termas collect.

I recieved a handful of phone numbers / e-mails from ladies there. In most cases they offered contact info to me first. They are discrete about it, but hardly terrified.

I also said that on the flipside, of course they feel they can get more than their termas rate and I truly don't blame them for trying. That doesn't mean they'll get it, but if they are even a tiny bit smart, they will at least try.

Next, I do a ton of negotiating for some pretty high level companies. For those that don't really do a lot of that type of thing, one of the keys to negotiating is to understand the arguments the other side is going to have, long before they voice them. By using that info and saying to them exactly what they are going to say to you either puts them in a whirlwind or more often, puts them at ease in believing you truly "get" them. I overcome objections before they object and in this case, if I were on a beach and saw a termas girl, the conversation would go something like this:

Me: Hi beautiful, I'd like to spend an hour with you. How much would that cost?

Her: $400.

Me: Well, you certainly are sexy and I know what guys spend at the termas for time with you. I know it's a bit more work for you to come to me and a bit more hassle to deal with the hotels, versus how easy it is with everything planned at the termas so I can see why you'd ask for that amount here. You know, you're absolutely gorgeous and I'd love to spend time with you. The bad news for me is that I've got a budget for my extra playtime and anything over $200 an hour is really out of that budget. I understand you'll probably have to find another man to share this time with but if it turns out you don't find someone and decide you'd like to grace me with your company for $200, I'd be a lucky man. Then I just shut up and let them make the decision on their next approach. If they balk, I repeat the last line again and shut up again.

And then there's the approach you're talking about:

You: Hi beautiful, I'd like to spend an hour with you. How much would that cost?

Her: $400.

You: Ha ha ha, fuck that, I'll give you $200. That's the going rate and I'm not paying anything more than that.

Now, we both stand at somewhat equal odds of getting the girl, me maybe a tiny bit more because I used a bit of honey in my approach. But if we BOTH ended up with her, who would be the guy that gets the better service? The guy who was compassionate and understanding of how she might feel about the rates she dreams of getting, or the guy who laughed in her face but she needed the money so turned the trick anyway? Sure, there are a few that enjoy being treated like shit, but everywhere in this world. Prague, Mostar, Hainan, Tijuana, Las Vegas, Mumbai. The women everywhere still appreciate a little respect and honey. Especially the women who often don't get repsect from their clients and just as often don't even respect themselves.

That's my take. I fully understand WHY she would feel that she's worth more outside the termas and I do not blame her for trying. That doesn't mean I pay more and in fact, might even get more for the same price than the guy who says fuck off any time a girl approaches him with a price that's higher than he wants to pay. I simply approach it differently. If you say it doesn't work that way in Rio. I guess I'll find out soon enough. During the most expensive and competitive time of year.

In any case your opinion on this with regard to Rio seems to be pure speculation so I'll wait to see your trip report. Kinda hard to discuss termas and the politics of them with someone who's never been to one. But hey, maybe I'm wrong. Have fun.
