The Company was bought out by a Chinese concern. The -: FREE!! :- VPN is neither secure nor private.
The Chinese company behind it harvests everything you do & sells it to spammers / cybercriminals & anyone else with money.
AVOID.
Just got on Badoo in the last two weeks, first experience a rather good one, see my FR in the Singapore thread. DIA seems too hard and not workable without a paid account, don't have a personal Facebook page (might need to make a fake one) so haven't tried Tinder yet.
DIA has paid accounts??

I've been there several times and taken a gal every time. I also went to the disco there with my lover. It's hard to evaluate the freelance opportunities, since I wasn't looking. I recommend you find someone to go with you from Cebu. The bus ride is more pleasant.

I don't even know where to start. Is it worth the trip to Philippines from BKK for a guy in his early 30's? Looking for a week to relax somewhere nice with a beach after 2 weeks of exploring. Would like a nice a safe town with something for everyone.

It was peaceful and I did see one spot with, I think, 3 freelancers. However your choices will be very limited. There's a much bigger pool in Cebu of women willing to take the short trip with you.

I was propositioned by a couple of transvestites one dark night, but did get a little freelancer action from the waitress at the bar I frequented, where I was the only customer. (I'm talking about Panagsama beach, not Moalboal town.).
I agree with others that this is best viewed as a getaway with a GF rather than a pickup destination.
How does Cebu compare to Manilla for airports, safety, hotels, things to do and girls?
Which is better for a first timer?
The spirits tell me to go to Cebu.
Are there any beach front hotels that are nice and safe? With transport to the mall?
Do hotels provide airport shuttles?
How do tourists avoid groups of child beggars?

There is a Cebu forum. Do you have access to it? If so, you should move your questions to that location.
Also, if you tell us the length of stay, a rough budget, and what you want to do at the beach (swim, snorkel, dive) you'd probably get more specific info.
The nearest beach hotels are on Mactan island, but that would put you far from the best malls and nightlife. Some of them are very expensive.
If you have a longer trip I'd recommend you enjoy the city life of Cebu City and then consider a beach destination like Moalboal in South Cebu Island, Malapasqua Island in north Cebu Island, or Alona beach on Bohol.
The begging children usually appreciate food. X.
