Yes he moved to eyesoc where he happily post tons of mostly outdated information.
That's not true. I found my current rental and had a choice of some great options thanks to his advice. Joa and others are on the non-pro scene and venture into p4p when friends come to town. Half the posters are to hard headed or impatient for Santo Domingo to take the time to listen.
It's not about whether the restaurant is expensive or not. I avoid places if I don't know the owner. I mostly cook at home. I agree the problem cuts across all classes.
If you have confidence that the expensive restaurants would not do the same, you know little about the DR. Dishonesty, penny-pinching, short-sighted decisions and total ignorance about hygiene are not limited to the lower classes.
My uncle was a health inspector in London, UK. He had some disturbing stories to tell of squalor and cut corners in the most exclusive hotels like the Ritz and Savoy. Somehow I don't think the DR would come out a whole lot better.
I will be staying one night at a hotel in El Conde. I recall their was an excellent monger map but I cannot find the post. Can someone post the link to the monger map post? Thank you.

One of the girls from Santo Domingo.
A few more photos.

I read on another website about a place near El Conde called Pink Pony. Evidently it is much like GBP. Anyone have any information about this place?

Showdown
Went there 2 yrs ago, almost same set up and pricing as GBP. Look at my old post. I don't remember it being near El Conde at all. Definitely not within walking distance. Check the monger map again.
And also to chime in on your earlier cell phone discussion, don't bring your brand new iPhone to the DR. Buy an unlocked GSM android phone from Amazon. You can get a brand new in box one with Android 2. 3 for $70. Use it and give it to a chica for her services rendered when you leave the country.
i showed up yesterday aroun 5pm, lot's of girls but the talent was not what it was the last 2 times i went. they've updated the private areas with white drapes and black lights, they have some new white high top banquettes. i picked lulu, she had a nice body, real firm and was pretty around a 7 on my scale. bbbj to completion (as that is my thing). it started off good, but she must of got tired and started to use too much hand. i insisted on more mouth, she obliged, repositioned herself and went to town. finished promptly in her mouth, she took about half the load. strange thing is she didn't spit right away, she got a baby wipe, cleaned me up then went into the adjoining bathroom to spit.
anyway, my novia is in the university and i'm going out in a few minutes to run some errands and have another go at gbp.
i will report if the talent is better on friday afternoons, btw they are now open to 12m as one of the girls told me.
later.
I have learned exactly the hows and whys of using USA cell phones (Apple 5S and 5C) in the DR after being down their last week. This applies to using a DR SIM card in a USA cell phone (Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile and Sprint) that is under contract. The phone carriers use different wireless technologies called CDMA and GSM (read up on these). If you buy an Iphone directly from Apple
At full price it is already unlocked.
For Sprint and T-Mobile their is no way to unblock those phones for use in the DR. I went to several shops and they could not do it or attempted (lie) to say they could-for 5000 to 8000 pesos (ridiculous). Evidently Sprint and T-Mobile will only unblock the phones after 60-90 days (I have gotten conflicting reports on exactly how long before they will unblock it) of usage from when youfirst activate the phone with them. And even afterwards I have read that Sprint and T-Mobile will still give you a hard time when you want to unlock the phone. The Iphone 5C I had was from Sprint. It can connect to wifi. But that is it.
FYI-when a wireless carrier "unlocks" a phone what they actually do is contact Apple and ask them to do some electronic things that makes this possible.
I also noticed something interesting on Craigslist. When people are buying Iphones on Craigslist they always say they WILL NOT buy Iphones from Sprint and T-Mobile. This is because of the unlocking issue and the different wireless technologies used.
For Verizon their Iphones, beginning with the 4S, are already unlocked. This is not because Verizon is nice. Rather it is because the FCC (Federal Communications Commission) forced Verizon to do it because it was using a special spectrum for its LTE service. Specifically the specific spectrum that Verizon uses for LTE — the 700MHz "C Block," the largest and most lucrative of five blocks in the 700MHz range auctioned in 2008-came with the caveat that phones that use that spectrum had to be sold unlocked. Keep in mind that only the GSM function is unlocked. That is you can use the cellular service without having to do anything to the phone. You cannot however get data unless you do some type of jailbreak (you can get data when you connect to wifi however).
Their seems to be no problem unlocking AT&T Iphones in the DR. However Iphones DO NOT come unlocked from AT&T unlike Verizon.
To summarize:
*The only Iphone's (4S and newer) that will work in the DR without any unlocking are phones from Verizon. You will only get cellular and not data.
*AT&T phones can be unlocked in the DR.
*Sprint and T-Mobile phones cannot be unlocked at all without the carrier doing it.
Help this helps others when using their phones in the DR.
Side note-the Samsung Galaxy series phones from Verizon will work with cellular and data right out of the box. No unlocking necessary.

Wow, you spent a lot of time researching iphones, good for you. Hope you had a good time with the girls, anything to report there?
I never used cellular service in the DR, only used my phone to take pics. CDMA and GSM are disparate 3G and pre 3G technologies. With 4G all the carriers are merging towards the same LTE technology which evolved out of GSM (3GPP standards). There are a few other flavors of intermediate 4G like Sprint's Wimax and T-Mobile's HSPA+ but eventually everyone is going towards LTE. I would be surprised if T-Mobile's unlocked phone did not work in the DR but who knows with all the changes.
With T-Mobile you probably wont need to unlock or put a new sim anymore.

I really would appreciate some info on P4P in Santo Domingo, as apposed to all this BS about phones and other unrelated info. I am traveling to Santo Domingo next month for Thanksgiving weekend and will be staying in Boca Chica. Would appreciate someone posting actual info on current P4P situations I. E. Casas, or other places to pick up a pro and pricing. I prefer Incall, unless someone has a number and pic of some sexy chica they'd share. I prefer a young looking spinner personally. Feel free to respond to this post or send me a private message as to not clutter this page any further. Of course someone else might want the info too.
