The taxi drivers outside BC and all bars along J. PRamlee are sharks. They overcharge and can even push you strongly to convince you to choose them instead of competitors. I can't stand this kind of approach. I remember once I could not even exit because a driver was pushing my chest-to-chest. We had almost a fight.

20-30RM to go back to hotel (any hotel on Sultan Ismail!) from BC are a ripoff.

[b]WHAT I DO[/b] when I want to go back with a girl from BC to my hotel (1 km away on Sultan Ismail, in front of Medan Tuanku station) :

1) exit BC from the back door, holding the hand of my girl;
2) cross the parking.
3) walk along the street with food stalls and offer something to drink or eat.
4) cross the other parking and cross Jalan Sultan Ismail.
5) stop a taxi, ask the price, say yes if he proposes 5 o 10 RM.
6) I round up to 10 when we stops, if he asked 5.

I looked at Shangri-la but it was twice the price of Istana and hence the equation.

Spent end of August a weekend in KL and revisited BC and TC. At TC they start off pretty early and around 6PM there are already 40-50 mainly Thai girls waiting for early customers. BC gets going around 8PM and there one finds Filipinas, Thais, Vietnamese and CIS girls. The going rate for LT is 400 RM. The CIS girls are asking for higher prices though.

I cannot believe that those 3 places are the only ones in KL where one can meet Pinays, Thai, Viet or other foreign girls in a disco bar environment.

Reading from ISG, it seems that the main option here are clandestine massage parlours.

Several times this year I have been staying at Crowne Plaza and walked my new bride back the 400 m according to Google. Never had one bail early.

But I might repeat my criteria for Viet gals whether in Vietnam or outside. NO fancy jewellery or makeup and definitely no tattoos. All of things indicate contact with western money and that spells trouble.

Changkat BB (Gypsy etc) : I never tried it, but it sounds good and worth exploring. This is on my agenda for my next visit!

Rum Jungle and other bars on J. P. Ramlee: I never found anything there. The only places on J. P. Ramlee with some WLs were BC and TC. I do not exclude that at times girls overflow also from there to other bars in the same street, so it is definitely worth having a look also there at times. But, if I have only 1 night in KL, I would go straight to BC and, if I do not see anything interesting, I give a call to a good provider who can deliver a car with 2-3 good girls to choose.

Westin and Hilton bars: I am sure that girls there are few and extremely overpriced. And it is obvious: they aim at lazy people, who cannot move their ass out of their expensive hotel, and who have a lot of money (those hotels are among most pricey ones).
