Pangeran Jayakarta
So, Egy could you please elaborate on your comment you never go there for safety reasons, i.e., what specific dangers are you concerned about?
You don't want to be caught up in one of the many fights that happen there on a regular basis between the locals when things get ugly. It's already way too packed in there (as there is no entry fee like all the other places) with day labourers and ojek drivers out and about, so it makes sense now why fights are always waiting to happen. Most of these guys have no money and are only there to watch the naked dancers for free. Since it's so crowded in there when fights happen there's a chance you could get hurt somehow.
Besides, the rooms are always filled with cockroaches and things like used condoms on the shower drain. Even some of the towels appear to have poo stains on them.
If you're into downmarket, why not just go to Kalijodo? It's 150 k cheaper for every girl and nearly all taxis know how to get there unlike the Kota places.
If you don't want to go all the way to Kalijodo, the nearby M-Star in Mangga Dua doesn't have any of these problems and the rooms are just as clean as Malioboro, Classic and King's Cross.

Not the same girl unless she changed a lot from your pics. The one I had was an even smaller frame and an even cuter face and smaller aerola (sp). Ask the mamasan when you are there.
Was it this girl? She didn't have a baby when I met her a couple of years ago, but she was the smallest girl with the biggest boobs I've ever met. And she worked at Classic.
I wouldn't go near the Pangeran Jayakarta places these days for safety reasons.
I have to admit that it has been about two years ago that I went there, but I have never sensed any risky atmosphere there.
I have to admit that it has been about two years ago that I went there, but I have never sensed any risky atmosphere there.
I concur Menteng, the PangJay strip is certainly trouble free albeit rather dusty. I'm wondering if EgyMonger hasn't stopped off there on his near daily sojourns. I walk from the KRL station along PangJay to get the midday IcedTea massage package at the Orchardz (Spa behind the hotel in basement). For me it can compete with what's on offer in Bangkok. I just rarely seem to get there on the day you get to see and choose the girls (anyone know?) PangJay Street also rates very highly on the domestic mongering forums.
The only area in Jakarta I feel unsafe is oddly the upmarket malls such as Senayan and PlazaIndonesia as there's often effeminite gentlemen pickpockets loitering around the coffee shops and money changers. I'm conscious if something untoward did happen the security guards would just bottle it.

Thanks Mr. Smoothy.
And what about Pen-jay bars? Anyone here with experience there? How does that compare? I do like to live on the wilder side, but my Jakarta experience is somewhat limited. Don't care about the price. You could just as easily find me at Alexis.
If it's your first time in town, you probably don't want to go there. However, if you know a bit about Jakarta, you are looking for some adventure and the cheapest price in town, you can check it out. I don't really feel in danger anywhere in Jakarta relative to other countries. I think it's one of the safest cities in the world. Is Kalijodo down market? For sure. (that's why it's so cheap) People will not speak English there. And just like anywhere in the world when you go to any down market area, you need to assess your environment and keep your eyes open. But the taxi can help point out the safer places and the places with pretty young girls. And the price can't be beaten anywhere in the world. The best thing about kalijodo is every taxi in town will know exactly where it is. If I tell a taxi to take me to Kings Cross, they are highly unlikely to know where to go. But if I tell them take me to Kalijodo, they will absolutely know where to go. And they will know why you want to go there. If you can speak some indonesian, you shouldn't have any trouble getting the taxi to help you find the right spot.
I personally don't mind spending a million rupiah on a girl for an hour in a 5 star environment like Malioboro. So it's not my cup of tea to spend a lot of my time in kalijodo, and I haven't been there in a while. But if you are on a budget and like to live on the wilder side, you may like it. If you can find a buddy to go with you, it will be even better.
Even driving past them at Taman Lawang at night can be dangerous. It's best to take the long way around.

Since I will be leaving for Jakarta soon, just a quick re-cap on the Halloween suggestions. Thanks for your input on this.
I like the sounds of BATS and Dragonfly, so these are on my shortlist to start the Saturday evening. Depending on how I like the atmosphere (and to be honest how tired I might be after a 24 HR commute) afterwards and / or alternatively I may consider BFashion (which I thought of trying anyways) or Illegals.
If anybody is interested in meeting up, please feel free to contact me.
Best regards,
Thommy
Anyone with any experience here? I like the adventure of places like this, but if its going to be a big risk then ill just stick with the normal options.
The safety comment was just added for diplomacy. If you go with the notion, there may be some people wanting to make your pockets a little lighter or spike your drink, you will be absolutely fine.
Pen-jay bars, Alexis, Malioboro, Classic, Travel, Berlian, Kartika, etc, etc, the kota places, are worth a visit, if relatviely new in town, but they tend have a very obvious commercial setup. A soapy massage can be fun though.

Kalijodo
Anyone with any experience here? I like the adventure of places like this, but if its going to be a big risk then ill just stick with the normal options. From the video I have seen of the place it definitely looked to be not set up for foreigners, but then again it was a foreigner making the video. The Indonesian guys outside the places generally seemed a bit shocked to see a foreigner but not aggressive or anything untoward like that. The guy managed to get a ST onsite without any problems. Obviously the proper precautions would be needed etc.
The place sounds a bit like what Dolly's used to in Surabya where there about 1000 girls available and the mongers were mostly locals. I went there many times when in Surabaya about 12 years ago, the fare was 80 k - 100 k for an hour. I never saw any foreigners there. The girls either had rooms at the back or upstairs. You could buy beer or food too. I would go there from about 9. 00 pm at night and get back to the hotel about 5. 00 in the morning. I would screw a girl, wash my dick thoroughly and then sit with the locals, have a beer, some food and chit chat and then repeat with the next girl. I'll give it a shot when I get to CJK next month. I do not have problems with being with locals. I like the unbeaten path. When I was in Cuba, I would go to the local area and while walking, the number of locals behind me would multiply. No one did any harm. They were just curious.

You could just as easily find me at Alexis.
You will find it called PenJ, PenJay, Pangeran and Jl Pangeran-Jayakarta. PenJ bars names are Sari Ayu (SA), LA, ROYAL, MTR.
Bars in this ruko all have similar feel to them, but they either play dangdut or kota techno music. You enter, there are lounge type booths with a bar in the middle or at the end, full of smoke and local men drinking, often with girls sitting at their booths. Sometimes a stage for pole dancing, and somewhere at the back a mini fishbowl, or just the girls gathered on the lounges together.
Sit down and have a warm Anchor beer. Mama, in a plain boring uniform, will come over for a chat and bring some girls to you or try to drag you to the fishbowl room. Or if you check out the fishbowl on the way to the toilet, then Mama will pounce and see what your looking at. More often than not she will grab a girl and have her sit next to you and put her arm around you whilst you choose. Usual story of girls looking bored on their mobile phones.
After you choose, off to the guy behind the bars and the girl gets given a room key and a fresh towel. Up through the rabbit warren to a small bonking room. Room will have a small shower, mattress on the floor or on a base, small mirror, etc. Some have VIP rooms from memory, but I never tried those rooms.
I tip 100 k, ML is 350 k-380 k. Places close at about 2 am from memory, busiest around 10 pm, I don't know if their open daytimes though? Totally safe IMHO, Clubs have all have their own black t-shirt security once inside, and the street feels quite safe and reasonably well lit. The street is easy to find, and taxis easy in and out.
Comparisons PenJ to KFC.
PenJ safer, more organized and girls seem relatively normal, can go from one place to another easily to find one you like, rooms have showers and the beer is colder.
KFC is wilder, more premen on the streets, less safe but not unsafe if your streetwise, more places to discover, some of the girls seem more desperate and some on drugs, some girls on the street as well trying to woo their customers, cheaper (200 k ML), bonking in the girls room with often no shower in the room, and the beer is warmer.

Don't care about the price. You could just as easily find me at Alexis.
Particularly if you are fine with a place frequented by locals, and perhaps a tad adventurous, I would recommend Pen-jay, including the bars Sari-Ayu and LA Bar, among others. Prices are about the same as Classic although I'm unaware of any price breaks like Classic's if you bring two girls to the room. Rooms are generally a step or two down from Classic, unless you take the VIP room at LA Bar, which is reasonably nice and an option I usually take. A mama or papa-san or two may speak some English, but although I have had sessions with girls there who were fluent in English, most girls speak very little if any English.
In my experience the service and attitudes of the girls at these establishments is better than at Classic, maybe much better, but there is, of course, variability.
When you first mentioned what turned out to be Kalijodo, my first reaction is you probably should try the Pen-jay places first. If you want something grittier then perhaps Kalijodo, although as noted earlier it is not a certainty that it is still open (the government keeps saying they are going to close it down, sometimes setting dates by which they are going to do so, but they have missed at least some of those dates).

If you are looking for an adventure. I used to love dirty and cheap places like that and would go out of my way to visit those type of places. For whatever reason, I felt like I was exploring new territory and living on the edge. Since I haven't been in a while, I may be game to head up there with another monger.
There are so many places you can try in Jakarta if you want to find a change of venue. Many of them are spas where the girls screw you at the end of a massage, some of them are strictly sex like Classic. It's tough to swing a dead cat in Jakarta without finding a brothel. Here are just a few. I suggest trying them all at least once.
FASHION HOTEL AND SPA.

Ruko Robinson area is another place you can try. Here's one example, but there are other places in that area.
GRIYA SEHAT.

Jakarta Utara.
I haven't tried this one yet, but my buddy enjoyed it and I like the pic of the chick with the nice boobs.
http://dsensualpik.********.com/
It's way up near waterboom though. Ruko Ekslusif Blok be no. 37 Pantai Indah Kapuk.
I hear that Kings Cross has now raised their price to 800 k. I still recommend other places in Kelapa Gading like MTR2 and the'Heaven spa. But it looks like I won't be going to Kings Cross anymore. It's a shame because I had some good experiences there. But again, time moves on and new places open. If they want to jack their prices, I'll go elsewhere.
Looks like most of my links were edited out, but it's easy to get the idea.

Pre-trip Preparation
I have been wanting to visit Jakarta for a number of years even though I hear the city itself isn't the most desirable place in the world to visit. Needless to say, I have read the forum back for the last 90+ days but still have three simple question that I need to ask and I am hopeful I will get some responses.
1. I have seen numerous references to "BBFS" being available for additional amounts at various places. While I have enjoyed the pleasures of BBBJ from girls all over the world, I have never taken the risk of going in bareback and don't recall it ever being offered. Is it really that common in Jakarata and why in the world would anyone be this wreckless? Am I missing something?
2. I have sifted through pages of info and found a handful of places that I am interested in visiting. My question is, where do the wealthy local men of Jakarta go for the most beautiful women when money isn't an issue? Like I found in Bangkok, there are places that just don't get mentioned on ISG where wealthy local men go that are kept sort of quiet from forums like this. Does anyone know of any places?
3. I have seven free days? How many days should I stay in Jakarata before flying over to Bangkok?
Thanks for any information you are willing to share.
