WOWEEE. One of the very few times SammyCan and I agree. SNG is totally out-of-date and the owner is very disconnected. This looks like a huge opportunity for someone else to step in and do it right.

In 17 years visiting Shanghai the Sofitel Hyland is the ONLY hotel where security refused me entry with a nightly bed warmer. Whilst this was 10 yrs back I never did and never will return there. As always YMMV but I will never be bitten twice.

Not sure why SNG is now the subject of Hobbiest's flaming, but it is up and running. The "daily specials" did not update much for the 10 days I was recently in China (so what?) But new reviews were posted and it seemed like the availability of the girls changed from day to day. When I wanted to make an appointment, the service person responded quickly. An appointment was set up with Amy, who came to my hotel demurely dressed and right on time. Once in the room, she provided a wonderful GFE. Friendly, enthusiastic, and eager to please. I expect to repeat with her on my next China visit, provided she is still in "the stable". If not, I'm sure there will be some other cutie that will be more than acceptable.

I have used SNG a few times and was quite satisfied with the service every time. Some may say it is expensive, but for reliability and convenience. Well, it works for me. And no, I am not a shill for Steven or SNG. Just a happy customer that is happy to use his service, especially in these times where a lot of saunas are shut down and the rules seem to be changing in Shanghai.

Aside from Jingan, most districts are alive and well. Especialy Minhang which is historicaly the most active sauna district and had issues begining of the year but came back with even more spots since then.

Just on this chinese site [URL]http://www.shhhy.xyz/forum-124-1.html[/URL] I count 31 saunas advertising and that's not counting those which advertise on other sites or those not advertising these days.

Thats not counting either the 100's of MPs around the city offering all kinds of services.

Shanghai has a lot more to offer than you seem to believe.

Not being in my 20's, the time thing will always be a deal breaker for me. Statistically, maybe a 10% satisfaction rate in my experience.

SNG has something to offer. I'm in China for a week or so at a time a few times a year, and have very little time to explore the options. Although do read the forum regularly So I need to make my "me-time" count and can't really afford the time to waste on poor service (as I described below in an MP). I don't want to spend half my time in an establishment haggling, and don't want to go to the various bars where the best times are late at night.

Again, not a shill for Steven. And have never considered availing myself of his "premium membership" - but just wanted to throw my 2 cents into the discussion of SNG. The market for "services" is divided into many segments. Some value reliability and conveniences, others the thrill of the chase, others most bangs per buck (haha). But it's all good, my friend.

Also, my thoughts about saunas are based on what I'm reading on ISG. I don't read Chinese, so that source of info is not available to me. And I don't read SNG's page on saunas, since I guess I've become lazy and like the delivery service!

Many great local saunas now not listed on the site. If someone starts a new English site, there's definitely money to be made.

You should be able to get a good massage for about 250-300 rmb for an hour. Depending on the place you might instead
get a not so good massage. You have to find one you like or read the forum.

I once went to a kind of rough looking massage place near Nanjing Lu. I went because I liked the look of one of the attendants who
I saw out side. Inside the rest of the girls were homely sisters and cousins (I guess). So I played it safe and went for the foot massage.

They charged me enough for a full body massage and had the nerve to show me an English menu with a note saying
they had to have payment in full in advance. She didn't have even the most elementary grasp of massage. At some point a 6' 3" male
entered the parlor. I don't think he was there to change the towels. What she did have a grasp of was my dink as she tried to up sell
me to the deluxe service which I declined and then left.

I just wanted to check the place out but I think I was lucky to not have more trouble there.

Sinofaguo pointed to saunas advertising in the Chinese web sites. I think there are a few caveats.

1. You really should be able to speak Chinese. I can send messages after they were Google translated, but when you get to the places you do have to speak Chinese as some point. The places that cater to local most likely will not understand or speak English. My Chinese is not ready for prime time. When I go to those places for locals, I frequently had a hard time and was often a source of amusement for the staff and the girls.

2. The special prices that were advertised in the websites are often not true. They will tell you those special prices apply to only one or two girls, who as usually not available because they were "servicing other customers" or the prices were "specials that expired a week ago".

3. The local places often have a tiered pricing system and you may be amazed at what they classified at the upper price tiers. You have to look at their tags carefully, and sometimes the girls did not wear the tag and you have to ask (in Chinese). I got caught twice now thinking I was picking a girl from the lower price tier and end up with one from a much higher tier. I like places that have one price for all (Bodi and Sacrosa).

I went to a place that has 4 or 5 price categories, separated by letters and then the numbers 5 ,6,7 etc. I took one from I thought was from the lower price tier because her number started with a number in that category, but I did not notice her tag did not have a lettered beginning. The service was good, I ended up tipping her. When I went to pay, I was several rmb short in cash (the price difference: she was in the top tier, which was a gross overrating, and what I had already gave her as a tip). I ended up having to use my debit card to pay, which I hate because it contains real and traceable personal information and I want to be anonymous. I was so upset that I was not paying attention to whether they were watching me entering the PIN. Because I am paranoid in nature, I changed my debit card PIN.

Had a real nice visit at Bodi. Selected a young, small girl with an unbeleiveable body. Good massage, mediocre BJ but took a good pounding for 45 minutes. Was really surprised her pussy was not that tight. So that was a bummer. Pretty strange set-up with the clothes, bouncers, through the halls. But did enjoy myself.
