Actually straight black hair is the hottest in Nordic countries. Yes, you guess right, Asians are doing quite well there. Sadly, men and women are not equal. Asian women are doing very well, but men isn't that bad. Nordic girls hate their men anyway.
On the other hand, blond blue women is doing well anywhere. They are just rare outside Nordic countries. Even in, say, Britain if a girl have that they state on their adv. Blond blue men is doing rather poorly. Even in Asia they may be OK for a STR for the curiosity factor. In developed cities I doubt if any Asian women will go for that in a LTR. But then many boys and girls dye their hair with blond strips. But I don't think that represents the popularity of naturally blond men. Unless you are Beckham.

"nordic women hate their men anyway"??? completely untrue. sure they may find men with darker complexion in general good looking, but many many nordic girls like men with fair complexions as well. "nordic men will do poorly in asia as well". hmm how do you know? I lived in thailand for several times and more than a few times I read articles in bangkok post and the nation about the ultimate looks which they found to be the pale, blond and blue eyed swedish looks, whether it is a girl or a boy. And I never heard that the thai ladies found blond men less attractive. as a matter of fact few found the colour of the hair especially important. Looks are certainly much more than just the colour of the hair...

Ndara, if you read my posts before you will know that I'm usually highly opinionated. In this case one would need statistics to be serious and scientific. I haven't and my opinions are implied to be subjective.
My opinions are far from ridiculous. Did I say Nordic women hate the look of their men? No. It's a stereotype that Nordic men are rather backward in treating their women, drank a lot and prefer rough sex rather than passionate. American and British men for example generally treat their women better, but complain about it. Some western women thinks that women are treated better by Asian men. True or not any western women, including Nordic ones, with an Asian boyfriend, will reinforce that by telling others she is treated very well.
I said blond blue men is doing rather poorly, period. That means across the board. Obviously this is a highly charged statement for the fun of it. Women may fantasize about it but they don't necessarily act out their fantasies on a LTR. It's the same thing that many man don't date women who looked 18, or dumb blonds. (But also many men do, more than women.)
For Asia I stated that I refer to the developed cities, without a better word for them. That would be the once called Asian tigers. I'm not aware that Bangkok is one of them if you look at their GDP.
Made no mistake, the Nordic look is the ultimate look all over. Just look at TV ads on cosmetics. But even in North America some people are subtle about it (Americans) while some are obvious about it (Mexicans). In America many won't admit to it due to politically correctness, and the papers won't write about it. For one blond blue star who made it big in Hollywood, there are much more with other colors. You can say the same about women but then you can look at porn stars.
Doing poorly is rather different from being unattractive. Countless women dye their hair blond, and now even wear colored contact lens. Blond women somehow have some advantages, and that's not poorly. I'm sure men don't do that. Good looking and successful men get the girl. Color have little to do with that. That's poorly. I never implied that certain colors are inferior in appearance.

I agree somewhat about what you say about nordic men. What they are like sexually I really don't know.
I don't agree with you about your statement that blonde men are not attractive for a girl for a LTR. I can't believe that the colour of the hair should have such impact. Generally the only physical appareance that seem to be important for women worldwide is the height. Most women seem to prefer tall guys, I don't think I have ever heard a women say that she prefers short men, although for sure they exist as well.
As you say for every blond person that becomes a star there are countless non-blondes, but then there are so many more non-blondes. When I think of girls I can't say that I prefer only Blondes, brunettes or redheads or for that sake caucasians, asians or blacks. I like the individual and she can be either of the above mentioned. For a long term Relationship for sure looks are certainly not the most important, although of course not completely unimportant.
Now I am a typical nordic looking guy, tall, blonde and blue eyed and admittedly not what most nordic women would describe as the ultimate looking guy, but then again where my looks have been more rare, for example in east Asia and sub saharan africa my looks have many times been said to be perfect, which I guess is not because my blonde hair but more just because you are white in a non-caucasian country. I don't think they they look at us different whether we are blondes or brunettes. As a matter of fact when I and my best friend who is mediterranean looking was travelling in China 8 years ago we were often asked whether we were twins? So that a big city asian women would think twice before marrying a blonde just because he is blonde I seriously doubt. But then it is just my personal experiences and thoughts.

i think this whole discussion goes back to the saying "opposites attract". i may be wrong on this, but i think there is a lot of truth in that statement. i'm pretty sure that it goes back to some primordial instinct to expand the gene pool.
if we look at history, until about 100 years ago, most people would be born, grow up, have children, and die in a relatively small geographic area, many times never venturing more than 50 miles from the place they were born. one result of this lack of travel is lack of diversity & eventually, everyone winds up looking pretty much the same. the problem that also arises from this lack of travel/lack of diversity is that eventually (over generations), everybody in the village/town is related to everyone else and eventually bad characteristics start showing up in the children that are born - i'm sure we've all heard jokes about babies born as a result of [url=http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord128][CodeWord128][/url].
i think that our subconsious mind is somehow aware of this problem, so when we see somebody who is dissimilar to us in appearance, we tend to be attracted to their "exotic" looks. the result of this attractions, is new genetic material being introduced to the gene pool.
i'm sure that somebody is saying "i'm not planning on having a kid, i just wanna get laid!" that's fine, but why do we have a sex drive? it's to ensure the species propagates. in other words, the reason we have a sex drive is to ensure that babies get made.
cbgb mentions back in february, that interracial dating in the usa is far less prevalent than in europe. this may be true, but i can definitely say that's changing, even in the southern usa. i would have to say that american culture is still steeped in its puritanical roots (i personally think much of the puritanical values we americans hold up as virtue are perversions of nature).
one thing that i have observed over the years of working in south america and africa is that the most vocally bigotted white guy (regardless of his country of origin) in the group will almost always seek out the blackest hooker he can get his hands on and after the deed is done, will (temporarily) be the happiest person in the world - after all, "opposites attract".

I have to emphasis that when I say doing poorly, it means the color doesn't have an advantage, or even hindrance. It does not mean more, or less, attractive in appearance.
In Asia it is indeed the contrast that comes into consideration. In poorer Asian countries, as long as your boyfriend is a westerner, you will have a better life, even if he is a pensioner or taking employment benefits. Whether the relationship last or not doesn't matter. Assume it doesn't and hope for the best. You don't have much to lose.
In Asia cities where the price of a flat is often more than that of Manhattan, it's different. For two good looking men, women will probably go for the more successful one rather than the blond one. Women understands that the relationship will probably last if the white man is plain looking rather than a trophy catch. There's a problem if the inter racial relationship doesn't last. Say if you once go out with an 18 year old dumb blond lookalike, it's difficult to date your other highly educated women friends as it's hard for them to take you seriously.
Asian tend to think in terms of genetics. The parents thinking will affect their choice of their children. Obviously tall and good looking are good genes, successful also reflects the brain capacity. Everybody want big, bright and beautiful babies. If the woman actually like your height, and color, they will think what a lot you have to give up - that your baby will be smaller, blond and blue are obviously non-dominant genes. In thinking so they doubt more whether the relationship will last.
Enough for my rubbish. What I really want to say is that I'm trying at all cost to avoid blond hair blue eye tall man with slim built in public places. Last time I sat next to one in the airport waiting. When one of his friend arrive, who is a woman, she admires me from head to toe like I'm his new found gay partner.

My observation is that if you are good looking, or decent looking and have the right attitude and a sense of humor, you will do well anywhere.
As far as color, hieght, and other periphials, it's all more about current fads than anything. Some women seem to get onto a type, and that is what they want.
One thing is for sure, if the provider likes you, and even wants you, you will get alot more our of the deal.
