I am just wondering why there is an option to have the stealth mode _ for paying members_ so not to display the main ISG headline, for screen discretion, and than have an ad banner of anotehr weebsite with (nice) naked or so women. This can attract the attention of others even if jsut glancing at the screen.
Thought the paying option exempted the subscriber from this kind of banners.

Is threaded viewing implemented on the forum? I believe I saw reference to it somewhere in the description of viewing options but I can't find where to enable it.

It just occurred to me that people will naturally tend to notice(and comment) on things going wrong more than when they go smoothly. We come in here to share info. But perhaps it's not out of place to send Jackson a small thank you for the new upgrades that keep the site running smoothly. I'm sure I speak for many when I say it's very much appreciated. (We just forget to say it!)

hi jackson - just in case it's helpful - glanced thru some stats recently on through traffic, response times and so on, comparing isg and (for the sake of comparison) adultw0rk and punter net. the speed of isg has never been an issue for me personally, although i expect like yourself and other members here the march 16th 'server busy' screen still popping up can be a bit frustrating.
my feeling is that isg is too valuable a service to worry overly about such things, especially when much of your time must be spent keeping the many forums running smoothly. but when i saw the figures for isg seemed to be the poorest of those three sites it struck me that you might want to use such web analysis figures to get on to your tech advisors and ask if they are giving you the best value for money. given the amount of work you put in to provide us all with such a landmark product, i think it's reasonable to hold your own service providers to account.
good luck with them. i've no real qualms as an end user. but more power to your elbow if you can set things how you want them to be on the server issues.

I can't get the RSS feds to work in Google reader. I tried both options from an FAQ post by highlighting, copying and pasting them into the add subscription field. All I get is an error saying my search did not match any feeds. Am I doing something wrong? Has the feed address changed? Is Google censoring? Or something else?

I hope I am not sounding like a complainer after my post regarding the Photo Gallery. Just trying to test using RSS and thought this would be a good way to track a couple of forums.
Congrats to Jackson on the new software. The way photos are handled is a very nice step forward. And the ease of layout on threads with new reports looks good too.
A big undertaking to change the software when a forum has been as successful as ISG. It is easy to put off necessary improvements because of the upset and hassle involved. Jackson's not sitting on his laurels. We're fortunate to have a forum like this administered by a firm hand we can all relate to (rather than a bunch of nameless moderators for instance) and that he still has the energy and will to keep it first class.
One of the advantages of being a paying member was the possibility to set up the view in "stealth mode", ie no banner would appear on your screen.
It now appears that the stelth setting has been removed and the banners have increased and are quite animated too.
Since banners are often quite clear on their subject, it can be a problem when one visits ISG in a public place and does not want to call attraction to what he browse.
So far it was easy to 'hide' what kind of forum one was on.
Lots of forums use the same software and unelss one reads the details it could not be detected, but now. It cannot go un-noticed.
I respect the need to earn money, we are all in it for the money, but I thought being a paying member granted a sufficient contribution to the money cause of "ISG charity".
Very short: A large thanks to our host, Jackson, for hosting, managing and updating ISG for another year. Way beyond any money that arrives from subs, his efforts and patience are legion and the site has spawned (for this monger, at least) , invaluable information, opportunities for sharing information, and good friendships with a number of fellow hobbyists. What more can one expect from $20! Thanks once again, Jackson, relax a bit and enjoy 2011.

Jackson, you are doing a great job with this site. The new design is great, and it seems that today, you activated the thumbnail preview for images in the Photo Gallery section. Very useful feature!
This is by far the best punter forum online, because of your efforts and the efforts of all punters writing informative posts about our hobby.

We've been getting a series of craftily made-up posts on the China Threads. Especially on the Beijing one. By these Guerilla marketers of the overpriced and terrible escort services.
I have of late been "reporting" these posts I suspect being nothing more than these guerilla marketing tactics (using the reort button). But have as yet seen anything happen to these posts.
These bogus "reports" makes us regular members wary of posting anything up. As we certainly do NOT want to be party to luring the unsuspecting monger into thinking that such bogus reports are the same as / another one of our "REAL" reports.
Would appreciate it if you could do something about this.

With all due respect, I am not sure about the efficiency of the reporting button nowadays. Since the latest software upgrade, I too have reported several obvious infractions and it seems that most of them were simply ignored. Actually, it seems that those that had not been ignored were dealt with only when Jackson had a look at the concerned threads, but it might have been totally unrelated (I mean that it was probably not because of the reporting), because it occurred many days after the posts were reported.
