I just spent a couple of days in Montevideo. I arrived Thursday afternoon with no hotel reservation and having done very little research. People started taking refuge in the restaurant but the waitress had told me she was getting ready to get off work so I thought it would be good to wait a bit since I thought she might stick around until the rain let up.
