To all, some relevant info and some assistance for info.
I was a regular at the place opposite Mcd on Linking Rd,
in the north suburb starting with B, back in 03. It was run
by Mahesh and Azad. They were two good guys! They had some high quality gals. I had to call 1st, then come! They did NOT HAVE A LINE UP! The premises was extremely clean and modern, rivaling many of
the posh incall places in USA, Canada or Europe. Yes! I have
been to these places! Mahesh and/or Azad charged me between 3.5K - 7K
for short time. It was a good experience, some gals were better than
others! I am disappointed at the sharp decline in quality at present, perhaps Mahesh and/or Azad are no longer there!?
To Vivieck, thanks for the info on Dahisar. I will be visiting
Mumbai in April, and I shall visit Red Horse on Mira road. I think there
might have been a mispelling, when you stated that short time is 5K but overnight is 4K? I believe you should have reversed it! Is Dahisar better than Panvel in terms of quality and quanitity? I accept the price of 4k or 5K! Also, would you recommend I book a room above for a couple of days! Thanks!

I said 1. 5 K for short term and 4K for full night. 1. 5K is mximum in Red Horse 4 best gal. You can even bargain. I did not as it was crowded. And it was difficult to talk. Rooms above seem safe. But can't say. I stayed there overnight 4 first time. Others with more experience please comment. I don't have much experience of panvel. But Panvel or mira road look almost same. Though Mira road seems slightly better. Easy to travel on Western Express Highway.

This is a report in the Mumbai Mirror today (9th). Punters will have to be careful.

If you thought that the ban on dance bars came into effect in the state in August 2005, look at the pictures above. They are from dance bars in Panvel where ‘dancing, soliciting and touching,’ all prohibited according to law, is the name of the game and serving liquor just a by-the-way activity to camouflage violation of rules.

Five prominent bars in Panvel — Couple, Sun City, Night Riders, Times and Golden Nights — all of which which open at around 8.30 pm and shut only at 4 am, have women dancing and gyrating to Bollywood numbers through the night and allowing men not only to dance along but to touch them and pick them up.

The rules state that while women can provide service in a bar, they cannot work beyond 9.30 pm, cannot dance and must be allowed to maintain a ‘safe’ distance from customers. Allowing customers to touch women staff is also a violation of rules. However, the pictures clicked by Mirror reveal that each one of these rules is flouted.
Though the bars no longer have a stage or elevated platform for dancers, the seats and tables and the space between has been so arranged that the girls can dance without discomfort. For instance, in Couple, at least seven to eight persons can dance in the space between tables.

Each one of the bars has at least 50 girls at ‘customers’ disposal’ and has two entrances — one at the front, the other at the back — so that in case of any raid by the authorities, the girls can use the rear door to exit. Also, in a slight departure from earlier practice, the girls dance only when customers ask them to, with the promise of ‘throwing’ notes. At other times, which are rather rare, they stand in a corner and chat.

When Mirror went to Suncity, for example, patrons waved out to girls of their choice, after which the girls took the floor and danced while currency notes were being showered on them.

“Koi na koi to hota hi hai jo paisa udane ko tayyar rehta hai. Sirf kabhi kabhi baju mein khali khada rehna padta hai (There’s always someone who is ready to blow money to see us dance. Very rarely do we have to stand in a corner),” said a dancer at Couple.

Each bar has rooms on upper floors which are rented out for a mere Rs 300 per hour, and the girls can be ‘picked up’ for “anything between Rs 1,500 and Rs 5,000.”
Interestingly, the parking lots of all five bars have high-end cars coming in through the night. Clearly, the customers can afford the rates: a beer for 350, and other high-priced liquor too.

Even Mumbaikars make it to the bars. “Police are very strict in Mumbai and all the bars are shut. Here, nobody bothers you and it’s fun,” said a businessman from Mumbai who spent around Rs 5,000 on a dancer at Night Riders on Tuesday.

Oddly enough, the dance bar issue turned into a controversy after Peasants and Workers’ Party MLA Vivek Patil from Raigad district — in which Panvel falls — raised a calling attention motion during the Assembly’s budget session in 2005. He moved the motion after a youth from Panvel killed his mother when she refused to give him money to go to a dance bar.

The matter was then discussed in detail in the legislature and Home Minister R R Patil enforced the ban in August that year.

Cops say
Pravin Pawar, DCP, Zone II of Navi Mumbai, said: “If there is any substance in what you are saying, we will take necessary action.”

He said that on January 24 this year, he raided eight bars, of which three — Moonlight, Suncity and Crazy Boys — were found to be dance bars. 137 girls and 80 men were arrested during the raids. “We raid suspect bars on a regular basis,” Pawar said.

Panvel offers more value for money. The average quality in Panvel is about 3 notches higher than the Mira - Dahisar belt. BUT, the top of the house quality is better in Mira - Dahisar. Again, they are choosy, will give you attitude initially (not in the room) making you earn your kill. Don't even think of booking rooms at Mira - Dahisar. Absolute no no!

Maheshbhai is still there at MCD linking road. Yes his quality has declined and he is charging a wee bit more than before. Back then Mahesh used to call the girls from outside (Rehka Naik). Now he has his own setup. Those quality of girls are available with Rehka only. But now you pay 10k for the night.

Why u suggest not to book a room in Dahisar Mira road? I stayed there full night from 11.30 pm to 7am, without any problem.

Wht are the risks involved?risk of raid or Hotelstaff have thieves? What exactly?

I was also thinking of staying in such a bar for 2-3 days instead of going to Pune etc for fun. It's after all better known area to me.

This does not apply to localites. You can handle yourself in a raid. But a foreigner who doesn't speak the language can't. Also these places are a regular hangout for folks from the underworld. For you there shouldn't be a problem. Have fun.
