Comments about Khon Kaen , Udon Thani & That Asshole field reports

I have received some good advice in the forum and I feel I should contribute with my views.
First of all, I like T.A. reports; well and funny written.
But let us face it, T.A. is an Indiana Jones of sex, a remarkable new Marco Porno Polo looking for the hidden pussy.
Some of the places he describes are simply to low standard to me (and I believe to many others too).
I know Thailand well. I have been to Udon Thani, 1 year ago, and to Khon Kaen just 3 weeks ago.
To put it simple; Neither Udon Thani nor Khon Kaen are to be considered mongering destinations. Can you get girls there? Sure, like everywhere in Thailand but do not waste your time going there just for that.
The Thai brothels T.A. mentions in the Udon Thani post are dirty shacks; I run for cover.
Udon has some Ok after dark activity. Khon Kaen has a very subdued after dark action to say the least.
However, if you must go to UDON THANI or K.K. here are some advice.
Udon Thani.
I stayed at Charoen Hotel with a beauty I med at a shopping mall.
It is a good 4 stars hotel, good value pre-booked in the web (around 1.200 THB ), 100% GF.
Khon Kaen
Central KK is where the 3 main hotels are located: Sofitel, Kosa, Charoen Princess.
The little action to be found is there with some ex-pat bars and restaurants.
I was lucky inn the disco of the Charoen Hotel, but some others Europeans went home empty handed; the young students seems to be very choosy.
I stayed at Kosa (good 4 stars, good value, 100% GF ).; walk-in rate 2200 THB double, negotiated to 1470 THB all incl. You can get it slightly cheaper with pre-booking in the web.
If you are in a budget, Sawadee Hotel (near the market, 200 m from Charoen H. is good value: 400 THB )
The beautiful Isaan girls are to be found mostly in Pattaya and Bangkok.
When I was leaving KK by bus I met a stunner on the bus. I had booked a VIP seat and I had 10 minutes before departure. I managed to change to normal 1st class, arguing that I was too tall to stand in the VIP compartment. I got a refund and I arranged a seat change to seat with my beauty. That was the beginning of a nice adventure in Bangkok.

Kanchanaburi Action......... post visit
Well, I did Kanchanaburi. Place was a bit quiet cuz low season, just full of backpackers. Found the River Kwai Hotel which has a MP right next door. 1600 for 2 hours with a Burmese girl, not bad, 23 yo.

1.1/ Introduction
Getting alarmed by the fact that women are taking over the world (just as had been predicted long ago), I decided to run away to some far-out place, still mostly uninfected by western female arrogance. Lucliky found it in Tat-Panom, near the Laos/Thai border. As we all realise, worldwide "sex-fuck-tourism" is a direct result of our present unfortunate oppression. 1.2/ General
Both Tat Panom and Nakon Panom lie in Nakonpanom province of Thailand. Sitting on the Mekong, across from the Lao city of Thakek, Nakon Panom is an interesting enough Thai city and the food is good but "entertainment" is very limited. Much better you will find either across the river in Thakek or in the neighboring small town of Tatpanom. The riverfront is quite suitable for a scenic stroll and the "Indojin" market has some attraction too, plus great river-views from the top floor.
*** Travel, accomodation, food in Nakon Panom ***
Nakonpanom bus station is about 1 km north of the city center. There are good connections to everywhere, and frequent buses to Tatpanom. To Laos ferries every half an hour leave from near the Indojin market (8.30am-6pm, 60B). Several hotels near the riverfront and streets behind 150-350B. Indojin markets has a good eaery upstairs and when it closes at 5pm, the excellent nightmarket nearby just kicks in.
1.3/ Entertainment (the "meat" of course)
In Nakon Panom city here are not many places to go for root but they are near the center. If you need a samlo the nightmarket has many until late. Basically it is just 2 karaokes. Ther used to be brothels too but they have been closed unfortunately. #1. "Sakuna karaoke", on a small soi, opp Kasikorn bank, near nightmarket. 500B/ST incl room. Quite ugly but friendly girls.
Quality can vary so worth a look. Starts around 7pm. #2. "Tukada karaoke", opposie the vietnamese clocktower at the riverside. 50B/pop again, but room costs 200B extra. These are all Thai women and usually not much to look at. Both signs are in Thai characters only. Sometimes the samlo drivers can organise university students through a friendly papasan. Count on 1000-1500B plus room ST for a reasonably pretty uni-student, if you can get one.

PART 2
Tatpanom town
2.1/ General
This is a very interesting little town and proof that small places like this one shouldn't be crossed off your list. Famous for it's huge and impressive Wat Panom (buddhist temple) and it's "jedi". Receives lots of tourists during the day but very quiet at night. However the wat with all the shiny lights is an unforgettable sight especially with the monks chanting their prayers. At night Tat Panom has a lot more interesting things to do than it's larger northern neighbor.
I addition, the locals are exceptionally friendly people. But dogs can be a nuisance (although not as bad as Nakonpanom dogwise). The town's brothels open around 7pm.
2.2/ Travel
Tatpanom lies right half way between Mukdahan and Nakonpanom. 50 km from either city. Buses from Mukdahan leave every hour and in fact any bus going north (such as to Udon, Sakonnakon, etc) can drop you off. From Nakonpanom in addition to the buses there are regular pickuptrucks doing the 40 mins trip. Fare is around 30B ($1).
2.3/ Accomodation, food
On the attached map are some hotels marked. The Sawasdee resort is good value, clean and safe. Staying at the Jirapaka resort would put you nearest to the "fun". There are also many more hotels, 100-500B/room. The nightmarket is actually quite good, considering the size of town and assembles only 5-8pm, every night. It is on the road to Nakonpanom, somewhat north of the Wat. Daytime food in Tat Panom of course is plentiful as many restaurants cater to the loads of visitors all along the main streets.

2.4/ Entertainment
During the afternoon I had a scary encounter. Discovering the inside of Wat Panom I was confronted by a bunch of Thai school kids, waving books and pens, apparently trying to practice English-chat with western tourists. About 8 of them approached from one direction. Of course I got scared as any man would in this crazy feminist ruled world. As I tried desperately to avoid them, turning sharply behind the golden stupa I bumped into another 5 or 6 of them. The buddha statue behind me, stupa to the right, I had only one way to run and I made for that in sheer terror, heart beating inside my fat pig-throat.
Just to be caught by their lovely teacher. Fuck! No more ways to run. A very young Thai woman plus another 3 kids in tow behind her. Forcedly tried to smile for the pretty, delicate looking teacher. She happened to speak excellent English and did not hide being quite bit surprised by my apparent panic. I furiously tried to explain to her all this:
Nowadays all men in western "****-ries" (and especially older men) have become the most favorite hunting target of perverts. After some enquiries it was quite easy to find the action. One old Thai man pointed it out: "Just follow the road down at the bus station. You will see the flashing lights." There are in fact two chicken shops next door to each other. Mixed Thai and Lao fuckers. ST 500-700 depending on quality (a couple very nice too). Both start trading around 6pm. On the corner again there is a karaoke that opens 8pm, with Thai girls, 500B/pop. On the street of the bus station, going down to the river there is another Thai brothel but these looked uglier than the rest. 400-500B.
I picked some young Lao chick, 19yo or something. Very friendly and quite attractive. A bit expensive for 700B but not overly because pretty and fresh smelling. Fucky-fuck but no sucky-suck this time. By the time we finished the karaoke opened and I sat down with a bottle of beer and ice. One lone Thai man singing by the keyboard. No other customers yet. The girls came around to chat one by one and I settled for a very skinny young woman. Good performance again although not as beautiful as some in the other chicken shop. But good value by Pattaya standards.
*** One important reminder to guys ***
As I have often hinted before: In my humble opinion what matters is never "how good you are", but rather "how good we all men are". That lands you the best lays. Consistently day after day, year after year. This means being respectful to other guys, never humiliate each other, especially in the presence of women. The Thais guys seem to understand this better. Thais bow down before monks. Western men bow down before women. See who has the more brothels? What do you want? You can support men or women. You definitely can't do both . Please share with us and stop fighting each other.
Tatpanom is such a joy to visit. Every fuck-place is very friendly, welcoming and easy to deal with. Otherwise the whole town is relaxed, kind of rustic, with some definite Chinese influence. Old shophouses, dragons on the streets, etc. Again, from the riverside you can see through Laos and there are restaurants too. You cannot cross to Laos here but only through Nakon Panom. There is not so much to do but still quite easy to spend a couple of days. And the evenings always bring some excitement, much more than in the large town of nakonpanom just north. Worth a visit.

nsawan is a large thai town with good transport connections. located 240 km n of bangkok. the chiangmai-bangkok railway line runs right through with several daily trains. there are also frequent bus connections with pitsanulok, lopburi korat and bkk. from bangkok's mo chit bus terminal the trip only takes 3 hrs 15 minutes. aircon bus departures every 20-30 minutes all day.
nsawan bus terminal is inside town but about 2 km from the town center. however you may also find several good accomodation options in this area, so why not stay.
there are many others, but toek thai hotel has good rooms for 400b, right near the lake. plus you can easily walk to the pussy (although you will need local help first to find them). tuktuks and motos are plentiful at the terminal and all over the lake entertainment area. the nightmarket is near the river, a bit far away but also enough stalls set up near the bus station at night. plus a lot more near the big hospital at the lake where the "cats" hide.

nakonsawan is famous for the locally produced "moji" sweet cakes. they are totally delicious and addictive, coming in many flavours, all $1/box. shops stock whole mountains of them all around town. they are better than fucking a woman, worth a visit to nsawan, just for this reason.
2.2/ *** misc. info ***
otherwise it is quite pleasant to stroll around the central lake, especially when the sun had set or early morning. plus there is a river and one more, even larger (and less developed) lake a bit further with lots of nature. bear it in mind that ns does not have the usual bypass roads like udon or konken. it is located at the confluence of two large main roads and the whole traffic flows through town. this is a bit of a minus for noise and atmosphere but bearable for a day or two.

we were approaching the big "srisuan meat-factory" (some also call it "hospital", but i am not sure what that word means. the place is staffed with lovely white coated smiling butchers). finally we pulled over in a little lane running along the huge towering block. here we were greated by one more extremely welcoming youngish thai man with the widest smile. he said he had no girls on site at that moment but to tell him what kind did i like and he would call for some to come.
