Well, it is raining cats and dogs here. So I have to seek out options. The reports that many hang up on us when they hear english correct. Wonder why they post they speak language if they don't want to talk to us.

My experiences:

For my past experience (last visit: a few days in May), typically the rate of missed calls is about 70%, increasing for those calls done after 6-7 pm (I presume because most of the girls are tired or busy). But very rarely I got a phone hangup as soon as I said "hello"...is this something recent for Warsaw?

If yes, there could be 2 explanations:

1) Polish men are more numerous than before on the market, and the girls obviously prefer them (why bother with a foreign language ?)

2) Some girl had some recent bad experience with a foreigner, and now they spread the voice.

The first explanation seems to me the most probable: if true, there is not much to do. I would not rule out the second, however: after all, not everybody behaves correctly.

There is [b]nothing[/b] like a FKK in Warsaw, and don't expect sex-clubs like in Prague.

It's more a private apartment scene. For apartments recommendations, just read the forum and do your homework. You have tons of reports on apartments and even maps showing where they are. Doing some homework is more necessary in Warsaw than in other cities like Berlin.

But as for your query about is it safe to take the train from Warsaw to Krakow, are you sure you should be risking travelling all the way to Poland, even with a friend? Frankly, that's a daft question but just to reassure you, yes, it's perfectly safe, or as much as taking a train anywhere in Europe is, and as it takes only a couple of hours from city centre to city centre you'd be crazy to fly.

Old Town Apartments seems to have decent ones but they are very booked up, and I don't know if their price is really reflective of the price in the city. I can get a pretty good deal on Radisson SAS but not sure if I should stay in a hotel.
