but the wording "sex workers" is misleading as far as mada is concerned.

1) the great difference between mada and and asia is the absence of mamasans and cathouses: all girls are freebies.

Tidj, your observation is so true. You may have to add that the gems you described can't be found at the known monger places in Tana as Indra or Glacier. But by walking the "brousse", be it a small town or some beach or or.

Therefore Mada will never be a typical sex-toursit place like Angeles or Pattaya or the Dom Republic. Guys who are used to the easy way to buy a girl out of a disco will find them in the known places but with little affection and fake moaning for a high price to pay.

The true challenge in Mada is the hunt for the "good" ones, the semi pro's, the occasional escorts. The reward is uncomparable to other destinations. But its not everyones game.

However for those who are obliged to stay in TANA; I would not say that it is impossible to find semi pro in TANA. Probably not in GLACIER were most girls know eachother as pros.

But INDRA is more mixed: many pros but also semi pros.

SAINTE MARIE is a long island not very convenient for mongering (taxis have a monopoly and exagerate on rates).

I would suggest you to have an hotel in / near the main town AMBODIFUTATRA (check ortho)

NOSY BE is the most expansive place for tourists in MADA.

Of course lot of girls in night clubs of AMBATELOKE (check ortho) but night club of HELL VILLE has less pros (even if they move between the two spots)
