General Osorio metro station is closed for 9-10 months now as they link the tunnel to the line to Barra. There is a bus ("Metro Superficie") that runs from Siq. Campos to general osorio square, and you pay for it with your metro ticket / card. Barra stations still stated to open in 2016.
I'm gearing up for a trip. It's been a while since I've been in Rio. Exchange rate fluctuations, inflation, the changing scene, and infrequent reports on the forum are leaving me scratching my head a little about current prices.
I don't really like the termas scene. I prefer to go to a bar / strip club and take a girl home. Like most of us, I loved Help and I am lukewarm on the Balcony scene. However, based on what I've read, it appears that my major choices and realistic takeout costs are.
Barbs R400-R600.
Balcony R200-R300.
Franks R300-R400.
I understand that YMMV and that I could get things cheaper if I haggle and wait until 4 a. M, but I don't want to do at least half of that. Money isn't really a problem as long as the experience is a good one and the girl is hot.
If anyone on the forum would either confirm or correct the list above, I would be most obliged.
I'd also be willing to check out any new places that you guys would like checked out.
