I host at home, so a scammer can't say for e.g that she was lured to my place and raped, when there is proof of payment to her. In this case, if I notify her employer of what happened, she will be embarrassed to explain how these amounts have been regularly paid to her. Its either prostitution, or she's moonlighting in 2 jobs.
And yes, she killed a golden goose.

There is no supporting info of what the payment was for, so it is an admission that I paid a prostitute. That gives cops an incentive to extract some money from me.

I don't know if you can file cybercrime complaints here because this entire sugar dating business falls in the grey zones legally, and the women, if they get vindictive can also inflict a lot of pain on you / your career / reputation etc. 50 k while significant in absolute terms is not large enough to jeopardize your reputation on.

Why I keep saying that long term sugar dating in India is fraught with scams is because to these women you are an ATM and nothing else. Many women I've met for PPM arrangements tell me they have long term SDs and they also enhance this income with 'side' income. Often at lesser PPMs than their long term partners. Which basically disincentivizes long term arrangements altogether. My long term chick would only ping me when she needed something / was sick etc but not really offer the same care or intimacy in return.

Advances are always a scam- and it's never a good idea to get emotionally invested in these arrangements. The women who engage in sugar dating are greedy, lazy short term thinkers by design, so it's important to realize that integrity or loyalty isn't a quality you can expect of them. If you want a real relationship…try vanilla dating. Sugar dating in India is just lipstick on a pig that is prostitution. Just because some of these women can speak good English they think they are different, but most of them do not appreciate the distinction of sugar dating from escorting.

I have had a false complaint filed against me a few years ago. By a con artist. The complaint was dismissed, without any FIR (I was in the Andaman islands when she claimed I was stalking her), but there was still harassment and the cops had to be paid off. They will invariably take the side of a younger girl against a much older man.

There's scope for a cyber crime complaint if money was taken from you on false pretences or by fraud. This is at best, a civil complaint of an unpaid loan (with no documentation). I can threaten cyber crime, she can file a complaint of harassment (showing multiple calls make to her etc) - its a slippery slope.

I got scammed for 50 k in all after meeting her 18 times in all. She could have got 10 x that amount if we remained together. I never give an advance, unless we have been together for some time.
I would have thought an almost year long relationship and 15 meets (before the PG money) was enough time to judge her character.

Her relative is involved in an offense against women (she shared the details) and if evidence of this matter goes to the cops, he can be in serious trouble. I'm not so bloody minded, my point is people can scam when you assume you have safeguards against it. I could complain to her bosses, which will, at the very least embarrass her, but it won't get my money back. And more importantly the feeling of being made a fool of. We're still connected on social media. She just won't take my calls or see messages.

I thought I had seen it all when it came to scams. The last time I was scammed was 5 years ago (barring smaller amounts like cab fare, or paying for the 'meet & greet and being disappointed'. Some things just defy logic- one possible explanation is that the power dynamic flips when it's the man trying to recover his prepayment vs the SB trying to get more money when an advance payment is made. You see their true colors once it gets there, because otherwise the woman generally plays nice to get her next payment tranche.

I paid the advance in this case precisely because it was illogical for her to scam me for this amount.
With her looks and personality, she can make 50 k during her weekend off and retain the relationship with me, if she was so inclined, but I don't believe she sugar dates anyone else.

Back in 2021 (the last time I got scammed) I had a similar incident. The SB ticked all the boxes. Amateur, quite polished etc. Her father heads the Europe operations of a IT major. Money was not the issue for her I saw her a dozen times before giving her an advance. She adjusted a few meets, then disappeared. Later went to the UK for a masters, informed me and hasn't blocked me. I lost 45 k. Not worth my while to chase it.

In sugar dating, Scams - or more accurately, errors of judgement (which is the case here) are inevitable. In my SD life, I've lost 3 % of allowance paid to scams/ bad judgement. I believe that's
an acceptable risk and that's the larger context in which I view a loss.
