What is "the island"? Do you mean "La Isla"-I heard it was owned by the san diego people, but far from the city. I have not seen any online details about it-can you explain it, and is there any cheap way to get there?

I will check out the centro strip clubs again, and perhaps Mayorista. My problem with the centro strip clubs is that I thought the girls were not very good looking.

Perhaps I haven't been charming enough to the casa girls, but that really didn't seem like the issue. I actually began going there and talking to the girls and trying to warm them up, like I would in other countries, but I kept feeling this unstated attitude of something like "please stop being a silly gringo and thinking this place is anything more than a simple knocking shop." In other words, they seemed more comfortable just acting like a "cheap piece of ass", and like they had some clear routines and rules they seriously did not want to break. Who knows, I am basing this on a just a few times, so I am sure it varies by girl. I don't doubt that I can break through to some of the girls, but I don't feel like it makes sense to invest real time in romancing a casa girl outside of the casa, given the realities of her daily job.

And let's be honest, the entire setup and procedure at the casas is so non-sexy and business like to begin with. After a few times I found it easier and less awkward to just go with the flow rather than push for something different.

Anyways, I am surprised there is not a night time casa option, kind of like at Termas in Rio, where the price is higher, but there is a bar, music, more interaction, fewer customers a day, and better service. The daytime sterility of casas definitely leaves me feeling a bit sleazy at times! The casas do some things great, but they were obviously never designed to satisfy all the interests of most gringos. Thus the popularity of all the private networks of semi-pros, etc.

She's still evangelical about economic and social justice. Anyone would have to love her passion for "her" people. But she's becoming older and more educated, and more realistic. We are going to her graduation. She's getting more conservative while I've gotten more liberal. She's an unusual combination of rage against the status quo and compassion for the people of Colombia. I guess a little of that has rubbed off on me.

If you don't think you have it in you to honestly be interested in a working girl's life, then why should you expect attention and affection in addition to the obligatory sex? Amigo, if you want something in addition to mechanical sex, you don't get it by being pushy. One establishes his own flow and his own energy. Sex permeates Medellin. Like Richer said, just treat these girls, any girl that you want to have sex with, like someone that you want to share a little slice of her life. A must is knowing enough Spanish to communicate, but it's so easy after that. I haven't been to a casa in a long time, but I don't remember a bad experience. Make them laugh. It works with women anywhere.

Mayorista. In spite of the rain there were many girls. In my non inebriated state, I noticed 3 or 4 I considered barely doable. And by that I mean, that is how many did not have belly jiggle. While nursing my beer, a very tight jeans, big fake boobs, pretty face chica gets out of a taxi walking like a peacock. Easily the hottest girl to show up, highly attributed to her nice clothes and confident attitude. She was a little thick or big or maybe athletic looking depending how you see things. Anyway, she was grabbed within 5 minutes. I give her a 7 based on sex appeal. I should have grabbed her.

Went to Executiva in centro. Approx 25 chicas. In my book. 4 doable. And again, by that I mean 3 with relatively flat tummies. Most of them had these military like costumes on. It was cute. One chica was just dressed in street clothes and I was not sure she was even working. Turns out she was. She was fun to chat and flirt with but very pushy. To the point where I eventually left her. She wanted 100mil to meet me around the corner so I would not have to pay the exit fee. I may call her.

I need to stop being so nice. But part of it is because the picking were pretty slim and I want the interaction.

I have noticed that the stereotypes of Paisas, to the Colombians outside of Medellin, are hardcore, cold-blood and agressive materialists. It could be (only) partially true. While a few pros have ripped me off, some pros and non-pros in Medellin are friendly and give me numbers sometimes. While a few pros have declined my invitation, a few pros have given me a freebie and traveled with me. Probably just a chemistry. Girls nice to me may not be nice to you and girls nice to you may not be nice to me either.

Money is a "minimum" requirement, but not a charm booster. After a certain level, your wealth may have a limited or modest effect on your attractiveness. If you are a millionaire, it does not make you 10x attractive than a guy who make 100k, especially to pros. So as for the relationship between mens' wealth and attractiveness, there is a law of diminished return, if not a negative relationship.

Overall, we all may want to have a realistic expectation. If girls who are 30 years younger than you do not come to you in the USA, there is no reason why girls in Medellin would do otherwise. In Colombia and other countries, I saw "a few" gringos who believed that they looked like Brad Pitt and acted accordingly because they "thought" they were rich. Also I heard what pros and non pros talked about these guys. Thanks.

Look at the presentations of girls carefully. Only choose a girl who smiled to you. Avoid girls who are indifferent to you. Ask a few questions to the girls you like, and see how they react. If the girl touches you or keeps holding your hand, of course she likes you.

Also, if you like a girl, once they've all presented, have her come back to talk for a few minutes before making the decision to go with her.

You'll easily feel out the chemestry between you, or the non-chemestry and move on.

My last trip to Medellin, I selected no chemestry duds with me, because I followed Matt's advice and my own, by further talking with them before the final selection.

Matter of fact. 2 of the girls have become friends and we keep in touch, and planning my return to meet up, one of them is a star for me.

I'm definitely planning on going to downtown Medellin to check out the girls there.

However I was wondering if anyone knows of any casas in Envigado itself, if possible close to Parque Envigado.

You know, sometimes when it's late in the night I just want to be able to walk to a casa and not have the hassle of taking taxis.

Or if there are no casas, do Prepagos work in and around Parque Envigado?

Don't waste your time. Envigado is the cleanest municipality in medelline. No p4p there. Not even gangs can survive there.

Parquet envigado is where you can meet regular nice people. You want to meet regular young women, go to the nightclubs by the gym. About 4 blocks west of the park.

But really man, why Envigado?

Oh, while you are there go visit "Escobar" prison way up on the mountains. A real cool tourist spot.
