This might be a very stupid question but I will shoot anyway.
On my first trip to Asia I will visit AC for 5-6 day stay. Now since there is so much danger towards foreigners here. So for you that have visited AC before would you say I should not wear brand clothes and my whach that might seem expensive to locals and just put something wearn of and cheap?
Just a thought that this might be not the best place to give locals clue you might have some money!

Most gents are in non-descript clothing. Shorts, or if long pants denim. T-shirt mostly, or an occasional short-sleeve pullover. Flip-flops, non-descript tennis shoes. You rarely see any designer clothes. The place is hot and sticky, dress for it. The place is extremely informal. Mitt Romney's don't fit in.

Late at night on the back streets of Angeles, being drunk and having a pocketful of cash is likely to be a recipe for disaster. Regardless of when you go out, daytime / nighttime, it is not a good idea to wave around loads of cash just to try to impress the locals. They will already guess that you have money.
Be discrete even when using the moneychangers. I wouldn't change large amounts and then walk back to my hotel.
There are lots of things to be aware of. And I am NOT an expert. There are plenty of stories of lost cell phones / stolen cell phones, pickpockets and worse. I know of several filipinas that at various times have managed to have cell phones stolen.
I was walking down the street (Don Juico Avenue) which main thoroughfare in broad daylight when a pair of motorcycle thieves crossed over from the other side of the street and from behind me, attempted to take my gold necklace off my neck in a driveby. Needless to say, I do NOT wear that in Angeles anymore. I do still have it, just don't wear it there. These guys spotted it sometime after I left breakfast and probably followed me.
Certainly, there are a number of pickpockets that thrive on tourists that ride the jeepneys and they will get cash / wallets / cell phones / etc. Just know that there is a high potential for that activity and put your wallet in your front pockets or secure it somewhere else. Sporting expensive jewelry and / or watches will likely get you noticed and not in a good way. I would NOT even recommend that you buy a BOLEX (fake Rolex) which are for sale by the street vendors. They don't work and chances are you will overpay (I. E anything over $10 is too much)

The place I was staying did not have in room safes but if you plan to stay at a hotel that does have one, it is a good idea to use it. That is the only time (I think) that ever happened to me.
Also, there are enough stories about filipinos coming to aid of fellow filipinos if a fight erupts. I always figure these guys are in better shape than I am and may know way more martial arts / street fighting than I will ever know. It seems that filipinos have a passion for firearms and there are a great number around. There is a reason why all the banks / armored cars / various cash business have so many guards armed with shotguns standing by to keep the money where it belongs.
Two simple rules :
1. Use common sense.
2. Keep a low profile.
I hope it is not as dire as you are indicating. I will be there next month. (it isn't BTW) I was laso there in February for a brief visit. Other than the ridiculous barfines on Fields. It seemed like SNAFU and of course enjoyable.

1) Be deaf and dumb when strangers approach you in the street being friendly. They inevitably want to get familiar with your money, not you. Never accept food / sweets from strangers. They can be drugged.
2) Do not listen to sob stories, some may be true, most are designed to draw money.
3) Lending quickly turns into a non-refundable 'gift'.
4) Cover your money when you go to money changers.
5) Use the hotel safe, but keep track of what is there. Hotel staff have keys also.
6) Dress down. Be inconspicious, never attract attention with jewelry, watches, cameras.
7) Remember that the reason young girls want older often unattractive men is MONEY and SECURITY. Strategize to benefit accordingly.
8) Do not invest in a 'business', the odds are stacked against you.
9) Be extremely careful when travelling late at night.
10) Most of the above apply to Filipinos just as they do to foreigners. So many Filipinos get scammed, experience holdups, robbed in jeepneys, pickpocketed.
A few maps for reference.
The google map, some marked locations. Apology if I got any of the restos or bars incorrect. They are close. Someone else correct me if I'm wrong. A few worthwhile notes:
1. Field's Avenue runs (west-east) across the top of the picture (note the split, or fork in the road, and note the N / S/E / W legend upper-right). If you walk along Fields, from west to east, in this image, you will note a lot of massage / spa / phone businesses. Take the split to your left, and there are a bunch of stalls, laundries, and karaoke places. Take the split to the right, and you stay on Field's Avenue, with Atlantis on your right, followed by Kokomo's. Kokomo's is at the corner of Fields Avenue and Santos Street.
2. Moving down Santos, to the south, Kokomo's on the left, lots of trykes on the right. Tequila Reef mexican resto on your right, and ST bar WOW on your left. WOW is a very tiny place, barely enough room for 2 customers to stand / sit. 700 gets you 2 hours (really 3) in your room, or the back room there where one of the girls is usually asleep. The mamas are very nice, never pushy. Have known one of them for several years. I didn't know she was watching me, I was walking across the street, she hollered my name. I went to chat her. Both of my long-time favs are gone now. One went overseas with her bf, the other has a business in town. Disappointing, as I have posted their pics here many times, both together, separately, and with other girls (they run the gammut from mild to wild, girlie mood depending). The mama said she would txt the second girl and give her my number to see if she wanted to get together. Nice. I moved on up the street to check the other talent.
3. Continuing south down Santos, across the street from WOW are more ST bars, and on the left is the International Resto, formerly Shano's Irish Pub. Great place to knock down chow and play pool in your down time. Large, clean, place.
4. Continuing down Santos, Wild Orchid hotel on the left, more ST blow bars on the right. Every bar on Santos quoted similar prices: 700-750 ST / 1400-1500 LT. However, every girl and every mama I quized about times were gladly extending the times. Two hours became three, and LT became much later. For instance, I quized one mama about LT with a girl, it was about sundown, and she just said "You bring back tomorrow." I didn't push it and ask what time exactly in that bar, but that's easily 12 hours, and possibly much later in the morning, say noon, closer to 18.
5. Back to the picture. Turning west on Real street, at the corner of Santos / Real, at Tequila Reef resto on your left, then are the muslim shopping stalls to your left, and several bars on your right. Crystal Palace, Agasaya, and Body Shop. BS quoted 1800 for barfine. Nobody in any place in AC objected to the word 'barfine', and the mamas bantered the term also. I didn't hear anyone mention "EWR" in AC.
6. Continuing along Real, you will 'T' into Raymond street. Across the street is a juice bar (Strawberry Fields, which I think also has a girlie bar) , with resto next door. Its next door to Las Vegas girlie bar. Turn right at this T onto Raymond, walk one block to Fields. Phillies open-air resto (similar to Kokomo's) is on the corner to your left. Good breakfast for p100, including coffee refill.
7. If U-turn left at that 'T', walk a block or so, you will see several bars on your right (4 of them I think, together, next door to each other). They almost appear to be one bar, not 4. Aby Lyn, Jumpin' Jack Flash (see pic). I sat inside Aby Lyn, hadn't even ordered a drink. My phone buzzed. I checked the txt message, and was about to put the phone away, when several girls started posing. 'You take our pic. ' Well, if you insist, ladies. Snap. See pic. I asked the barfine price: 700 2 hours. 1200 LT. The very last bar, on the right, no kidding is filled with older fat gals, all of them appear late 30's or 40's. Hard to believe anyone would take them. The other three bars were filled with girls, sometimes 30 or so gals sitting around between the other three. Quite a range in the looks department, although all girls appeared < 25.
A pregnant gal had jumped in my lap, right away hinting at the barfine. It was tempting. 'You fuck my pussy my ass I swallow you cum. ' Pictures ok? 'Yes I do all. ' When are you due for the baby? Where did they go?"Upstairs she giving blowjob. He regular customer. She back here soon. Ten minutes. Just sit wait and you take both girls." Yuck! Give me my money back, mama. She asked me again to wait."That guy always cum quick. Wait." She was serious. No thanks. So she got in the money drawer and handed me 700. No, mama, I don't like what you did. I'm not taking either gal. She looked wounded, then handed me the other 700. I told her that was bad business."But he's regular customer." Me too, mama, already I had taken your girls, and paid for these."Please. Just you wait few minutes. She come soon." The other gal who was still standing there, was urging me to wait also. I told her that what the mama did was bad business, and just cost her a barfine. Sure as filipine rain, just as I was walking out, the girl came out from the back with some older guy (easily, he is 70). They could not have been in the back 6 whole minutes. I went over to WOW on Santos and grabbed a girl, who txt'the a friend, who came for a 3-some.
8. On all of Fields avenue you see in the picture, there are plenty of girlie bars. Quoted barfines range from a low of 1800, to 3000, depending on the bar (the expensive bars have tiers, say low-end girls at 2000, then high end hotties at 3000). All barfines are LT, except the ST bars mentioned before on Raymond/Santos.
9. Walking west on Fields from Philies resto one block to Constain street, and turn left. There are several bars down this street on the left side, including Butterfly bar. All of these bars quoted me 1500 for the barfine. At least one of these bars has a pool table, but I can’t remember which one.
