Back to the Mexican food though. Do you gents eat any of the salads down there? If so, have you ever gotten sick, maybe because they washed the raw veggies with their tap water? I would normally avoid raw veggies altogether whenever I'm south of the US border but don't know the case with Tijuana being so close to the USA.

The tiny grill directly north of LC also serves a small salad with their dinners and I've had that several times.
When I'm looking for an above average salad, but want to stay in LZ, I go to the place HorseTrader is talking about.
That tiny (four outside stools) restaurant tucked in between the two entrances to Mermaids massage is called Viejo Lobo.
While Viejo Lobo is best known for their great steaks dinners, they make pretty good main-dish salads. I've often had their Tuna salad for $70 pesos (at my request they add fresh sliced avocado) and their very good chicken salads for 10 pesos more. Much more than a side dinner salad, their main salads are delicious meals by themselves.
I've never had an unsettled stomach or other gastronomic problemos after eating at Viejo Lobo. The primary green ingredients of their salads come straight out of a Kirkland bag of ready-made salad, presumably purchased at Costco. This small restaurant is located directly across the street (Coahuila Ave.) from Las Chevelas.

Cheap fish taco
Fish taco from a hole in the wall place directly across the street from the Hotel Velario is pretty good. It serves up very fresh generous portion for only 12 p.

A little tip for healthier eaters: Most of Tito's Tacos variety of fish tacos use battered, deep fried pieces of fish. But you don't have to order them that way.
Many of the fish tacos at Tito's Tacos can be ordered "Sin Harina" for a healthier option.
Instead of coating the fish fillets in some type of beer batter, and then deep frying them, the cooks instead place the fish 'finger fillets' directly on the grill, sin batter. By grilling the fish instead of deep frying them, you eliminate that unhealthy part of the fish's preparation. While I realize this option is contrary to "baja style" way of preparing fish tacos, it is better for most people's overall health to avoid deep fried foods.

Dealers, muggers or cops. Would even bother trying to stop me? It should be obvious based on what I'm wearing and doing, I won't be carrying much of anything on me! But it would probably look pretty weird for somebody to go out for a run in Tijuana!
But it would probably look pretty weird for somebody to go out for a run in Tijuana!
It is not something that you see every day in Tijuana. It would be better for you to find a gym / health club to workout.
Just my 2 lousy pesos.

I would advise anyone planning on jogging anywhere in MX to first read up on 'la ley de fugo.'

Exercise in Tijuana
Locals get plenty of exercise running from the cops or running from each other.
Running would probably draw attention to the cops. If you don't understand their language and fail to obey, they may shot.
It's much better to do all exercises in bed with the sexy chicas, or just walk up and down the stairs of hotel Cascada. I found a few very good-looking chicas that way.

Revolucion?
During my first trip to Tijuana, I did not bother walking along Revolucion. I'm assuming that many of you have already. Upon your return trips, would you bother going back to Ave Revolucion for any reason?

Places like fine restaurants, clubs, live music venues. Worst of all, there are bunches of Mexicans. I see no reason to leave the sewer known as La Coahuila.
