Cartagena Reports

One thing I like about Thailand is that you can stay at four sessions and they do not care who you bring to the room. They do keep the ID, apparently for guest safety.

You can get very nice, modern, luxury, oceanfront airbnb's for cheap in Bocagrande. Just message the manager / owner and make it clear what you want. They will tell you if its OK. Save your points for another trip.

Every single condo I reached out to in Bocagrande on Airbnb, allowed no visitors outside of registered guest from the beginning of the stay. Even El Laquito takes some effort.

That meant I could register up to 3 girls for overnight stays and any others for visits till 4 am. It was a very nice condo. They had to show ID and get their picture taken but that was no problem. Things have likely changed for the worse since C19.

Many of the hotels in Boca grande will allow you to register extra guests it just depends on what's your arrangement is with whoever you're booking but I specifically went to the palmetto elliptic and ask them about this guests are allowed but they have to be registered that includes chicas which are specifically mentioned.

All of the information about hotel guest policies is on the Cartegena map and it has been updated recently. So if you waste your time trying to reach out to all these different hotels and airbnbs that your own fault.

I've been getting more prior approval as long as there's no parties.

At night there would be a guy guarding the door, that 's the only time guests would have to show ID.

Keeps the chicas on their best behavior knowing that their ID's and pictures have been recorded. The security guys actually assisted me in handing the chicas a few times as far as letting them up or not at my request. They were totally cool and were looking out for me.

Hello friends. Anyone can describe such a trip blow-by-blow?

I am newly interested in the South American region, attracted to what seems to be a very open and casual mongering atmosphere. My understanding is there is no need to worry about LE there since it is legal. And society seems quite open to this type of thing. I have been watching videos about the region extensively on YouTube. Good info, but of course, most don't get into the vital details. Hope the subject matter experts can fill in the blanks.

So, I get off the plane; take a taxi to my small hotel; check in.

Then what? Where do I go? Whom do I look for? What do I do? What can I expect? When do I pay? How much to pay?

All the information might be there but it's nice to be able to find beginner facts in one post. I've posted a few in the Thailand forum.

By definition a subject matter expert already has good knowledge in his head. It's not difficult to give a simple but complete guide (for me anyway).

The forum is set up for give and take, that is the ethos, its not like there isn't free information to be found here but even at the public library I cannot just walk up and say give me ten pagers on the life and death of Genghis Khan I have to swim into the books and journal and do research. What you guys are asking about is usually something that would be found in a thread called "Reports of Distinction" but to be honest there has not been a report of distinction for Cartagena posted in there in years. Though someone will from time to time post a thorough report about their adventure in Cartagena it goes against the ethos of this board to do so on demand, if people do this from time to time it is out of the kindness of their heart but it is not the norm. Right on the from page of the Forum there are a list of abbreviations among which is found RTFF Read The Fucking Forum, when many readers are responded to this way they seem to get offended but its not personal. But there is a reason the webmaster/administrator put the abbreviation there, it is part of the ethos, so to speak.
