I was messing around with my I5. I was watching some porn on it in Tropicals (hey I'm a Horndog) and the reception was not too bad. But it is choppy, and the reception goes on and off at will. Do you like being shot at while your character freezes?
Are you kidding me! If I died in a match because of lag, I would end up crying like a teenage girl who lost her Justin Bieber tickets, and I'm 28. That's why I said, fuck there WiFi. I'll use my phone data for a couple of matches. Yes, I'm in Tijuana on a Saturday around 6, playing video games on my phone in the hotel for an hour. Fuck, I'm a nerd!
Oh and, your not the only "horn dog" here. This site exist so all us single (most of us I think are), horny men can get some satisfaction. It's all good man, we all love sex.
You sound like you have to stick to Tijuana and have no experience in good eating but McDonalds and AM PM. Does all you know to eat is "TACOS"?
Let me show you what's having class means my friend. I had the best Peruvian, Argentinian, Italian, Spain and Chinese Mandarin, Chinese Cambodian, and best BBQ you can only dream about. I've been thru every casino restaurant from Reno, Tahoe down to Las Vegas with real chefs that know what fine eating is all about. Eating tacos and tortillas your whole life is what you call great food, sorry but there's more than that.
I like when people think Mexican food is the best, yes maybe because you live in SoCal but sometimes you need to think outside the tortilla. There's no place o restaurant in Tijuana that can compare to a good Mexican restaurant in SoCal. The food there is cheap starting with the low quality cheap beef. Before you comment about good eating you need to educate yourself about world class eating.
Lastly I can give you 100 places for good food you can start by driving 5 and exit in Santa Ana which is little Mexico look around you and you'll find many great restaurants with handmade tortillas and great tasting food.
Wow you're so brave or too dumb by wondering around Tijuana you should try go to the hills at night and show off you courage. You keep asking me for my personal experience with Tijuana crime but I don't have one because I'm too smart and I don't walk outside the zona maybe zona rio but I don't wonder like a dumb gringo in a drug war zone. You Can find all Tijuana crime info you need under "Policiaca" section in frontera info, El Mexicano newspaper then maybe then you realize that you're not too smart.
HT and CS, there's no point in arguing with PP. It's a lose-lose situation. You win the argument but there's no glory because you beat a retard. You lose the argument, and you just lost to a retard. The same retard who thinks Tijuana is safer than San Diego.
Completely disagree.
Phordphan has been on this site for years and has shared a wealth of knowledge about Tijuana and other parts of the world.
He tries his best to provide updated and correct information with his numerous trip reports. He travels and explores outside of La Coahuila. He is a respected and valued member on this site.
As far as your posts, they are really no value for people that are seeking accurate and solid information.
Take some trips to Tijuana, and outside La Coahuila, and then report back. Then, and only then, some other members will respect your posts.
I type this as a recommendation, not as an attack or argument.
Just my 2 pesos.
PP is a joke of a poster who posts nothing but idiotic nonsense. I called him out on it and he had absolutely no good response. Best to just ignore him.

Are you saying HT has any value to the site?

Come on dude!
Have you ever read any of his pure fantasy idiotic comments? Like his claim that HK adjusts their tipo de cambio in real time? When the fact is they've adjusted it once in three years? Like his claim that Tijuana is safer than SD? When the murder ratio is like 1/100? And his claim to never have been ripped off in Tijuana in 30 years? And his claim about a BG's earnings that were only off by $80 k? His reports are worthless, fabricated nonsense. Definitely has a negative value to this board.

Take A Break
I for one am sorry to see this thread go to shit.
It reminds me of the Colombia forum. A few guys on here want to stir up trouble for entertainment value.
Hopefully the admin comes and cleans it up. ISG has always tried to maintain a higher standard of participants.
I agree PP posts interesting information. It might not be everbody's thing but it relates to the topic.
Are things that bad that someone has to create static on an information board to keep occupied?

TAKE A BREAK. ?? Come on my amigo you can just ignore this crap. But while I'm serving out a ban on traveling to Tijuana, where else am I going to find this somewhat related to Tijuana drama??
Now speaking of the ban. Does anyone know a way you can take your cell phone into Tijuana and guarantee someone won't get that weird tone when they call you. I think that is the only thing that prevents me from sneaking off to enjoy an afternoon in heaven.

Generic V?
First time poster, long time reader. I have questions about buying generic viagra in Tijuana. Is it possible to buy a generic brand of Viagra at the Costco in Tijuana?
Does anyone have experience using travelers checks in Tijuana? Where would be the best and safest place to cash? I haven't stayed in the Zona yet. I usually stay in San Ysidro or Zona Rio. I would like to get a room close Ave Revo on my next trip.

Why are you banned from Tijuana?

Why are you banned from Tijuana?
The ban is spousal related. And I must always be in phone contact which is business related.

I've even used it to communicate with locals via Google translate. However, you must call your phone company to disable international roaming, so your signal will always bounce off an USA Tower near the boarder. You can always ask phone company to turn it back on when you are really going aboard.
Rizo de Oro is quieter at night, but that is because of how they house their guests.
In the original four story structure, the rooms are all to the east of the oficina. These older rooms are typically rented to the chicas.
They built a separate two-story annex to to the north. To access the north annex you go up a half stairway, take an interior bridge that goes over a back alley, and then walk down half a stairway to the second floor of the annex. Very few, if any, of the rooms in this north annex are rented to the chicas. So when you stay in these rooms you are less likely to be woken in the early morning hours as the chicas talk loudly and clank their zapatos as they return to their rooms after work.
Just around two years ago the Rizo de Oro hotel expanded again when the owner acquired the seven story tower that was built on NE corner of Coahuila and Nino Heroes. The seven story tower has an elevator and its rooms located behind (west of) the oficina and each floor only has six or seven rooms. The tower rooms are probably the quietest late at night and many of the rooms have terrific views.
By comparison, Cascades seems to behave like a three ring circus with much activity and noise in their large hallways during all hours.
Sounds like the Rizo is actually a nicer place to sleep over (noise wise). Now it looks like one has to juggle whether it's more important to have a quiet sleep but have to walk across the street at night (which might not be a big deal) or put up with the noise and just go upstairs with the HK and SGs.

It's relatively quiet because there is a lot less Ariba going on in general. It only got loud in the early morning when a group of chicas got off their shift, and even then they quiet down after about 10 minutes. In fact, I will intentionally take a HK girl to the Rizo when it's too crowded above HK (difficult to get going when the Bro next door is really loud, because I'm now curious of the girl he's with rather than my own girl).
Don't worry about crossing that section of the street at night. It is safe because there is so much people around. I'd worry more about the taxi drivers running me over than crimes or police shakedowns.

I admit I get a burr under my saddle when a newbie asks legit questions (in this case, if Revu was all tourist trinkets) and some yokel starts posturing about things he knows nothing about. Mexico in general, and Tijuana in particular, have some serious problems; some institutional but others a direct result of the USA's rapacious appetite for drugs. Those Mexicans who depend directly, or indirectly, on tourism dollars, have a hard enough time making a living without people tossing around false prejudices.
Now back to your regularly scheduled programming.

He can always tell if I'm in Mexico, due to the odd ring. You could turn off Int'l roaming, but that would defeat the purpose of being available by phone.
