Guys I was wondering if there is any action on the other side of the river from the Saphan Taksin BTS stop? The area where the last two BTS stops are-Krung Thon Buri and Wongwian Yai BTS stops-is a huge area of Bangkok yet never mentioned on this board. Anyone know of any massage parlors or freelance action on that side of town?

The big Big C, opposite central world.
Anyone could have been walking there, I often do if I wander down to Panthip Plaza.

On Rachadaphisek road there, which is the extension of the Thanon Rama III road, there is the Mall shopping center. On this side of the road about 1km going back towards Rama III road there is a a big thai style night club with many photos of the singers outside. On this same building entering from the side door there is a soapy on the second floor with a good selection of young providers.
I haven't been there for some years and I don't recall the name. I used to go there in the early evening when I was staying at the Marriott on Charoen Nakhorn road close by. Prices at that time were average aiming for the Thais. Not farangs there and surcharges as I recall. I used to pay about 1700 baht for the two hrs treatment. About 30-50 girls around 4pm.

Huh. I was at that exact Big C just last Friday.
Strangely disconcerting how, given a different day, I could have sharpnel in my face (or be dead) at the moment.

I hope things don't get out of control here in Thailand but all things considered, it's a great life here, not perfect, but very nice. And, of course, for some people, it's not very nice, and thus we have contention, confrontation, and violence.
Peace to us all, and I do mean ALL of us! Perhaps when we can begin to see that we are all the same and all capable of gross acts of both violence and love, we will not have to be so cruel to each other.

Then I wondered how many people have been killed in car accidents in the past few days. I'm quite sure it's way more than 1, so now I feel much better about coming.

Eat local food often, pay usually around 1500 to 3000 LT (per girl), etc. However my hotel bills are more like USD 200 per night or more, and I usually also travel within Thailand so flight costs add up quickly (figure at least USD 2000 total for flights, but sometimes more like 4000). And then there's the G-clubs and bar bills, which are fun and good for client hosting but very expensive. I guess when I think more about it, I actually probably spend kinda light on most things but then splurge on big ticket stuff. C'est la vie.
Perhaps I'll keep track this next trip and do a similar post. Though I fear mine might not be as helpful and would likely garner a lot of censure, so perhaps I'll just stick to the more mundane stuff. Too bad as I think there's much to learn and to be shared about the options at a variety of price levels. Again, c'est la vie.
