But few providers are able or willing to speak English and they will be highly less likely to want to service you unless you speak Japanese. So language is a problem. It is relatively expensive. Sometimes it is damn hard to find some of these places. You can overcome these hurdles if you live in Japan, but visitors need to do lots of homework before they come for a short stay if they want results.

In short, it is about as opposite as you can find from Thailand for those who want to P4P. I would not recommend Japan for sex tourists.

I was apologetic about the whole thing and used my best polite Japanese. I'm not trying to poison the well for anyone. I made what I thought was a reasonable request in a reasonable manner, it was denied, I accepted the denial apologetically without making a scene, and things went more or less as planned. I mentioned it because I clearly crossed a line in requesting a different girl. If I'd known that ahead of time, I wouldn't have made the request.

If there's any ego involved in writing a detailed account of paying women to have sex with us, we're doing it wrong.

This said, if you study this forum enough or live here and learn which places accept you, you can have a lot of fun. The variety of services in Japan is truly amazing. Much more than North America or elsewhere. There is always something new to try too.

I agree that speaking Japanese does not make me particularly special. There are at least 125,000,000 people who can say the same thing, and most of them have more service options than I do. That's why I posted the report, which I hoped might be useful to others who didn't want to wade through 20 pages of forum to find other reports on gaijin-friendly pink salons. I did that, and determined from reading those reports that fingering was an accepted part of the standard package. I ran into trouble with that, and reported that trouble. You jumped on me.

So, those reading our exchange have learned the following things:

-JanJan and Hinomaru are both open and servicing gaijin.

-The service is a bargain for the expense, which is not much. Still 3000/4000.

I've been mongering in Tokyo for five years, but took my first trip to Yoshiwara just the other day. I entered through the main gate and was promptly stopped by a guy at the information café. He gave me a cool history of the Yoshiwara area and them explained the general market. His explanation went like so:

Budget soap: 50-60 min. 25,000.

Intermediate: 70-80 min. 40,000.

Premier: 120 min. 75,000.

He also explained the 'gaijin tax' was 10K over the normal price for locals, but I think he had included it in the above figures.

He also explained that there are around 100 shops in the area, not all serve foreigners, and that in some of the lower budget places you might get a fat or older lady. He said he would be happy to call up a shop that would cater to my preferences and one of the guys would come down to the café with pictures to choose from.

I already had an idea of the shops I wanted to check out, plus I wanted to just take a leisurely stroll around the neighborhood and soak in the atmosphere, and told him so. He said 'don't get cheated by a trickster! ' I laughed, said I'the be careful, and departed.

I walked up one street and down another. Many of the shops had closed doors and did not look inviting, but I was propositioned by at least half the shops that had touts. The touts at the premier soaps were especially aggressive. Most of the shops quoted me two hours at 65, 000-80, 000. I stepped away gracefully by saying I wanted a girl at least 170 cm tall whom I could bareback. The touts seemed more put off by the fact that they couldn't offer me a tall girl.

I stopped to look at pictures at a few of the shops. First was Darling Harbor, which has been featured here before. The only girl available at the time was Masaki, who was featured in a report not long ago, but they gave me pictures of two others who would be in later that day. Masaki looked like the more attractive choice. They also showed me two pictures of girls at their sister shop Blue Lagoon, including their #1 girl (a fact I confirmed by looking at the site). Both of these girls seemed more attractive than the ones at Darling Harbor. When I said they didn't have what I was looking for the tout offered to call their sister shops, but I passed.

All in all, Yoshiwara touts are fairly aggressive and use high pressure sales tactics, but they seem like a friendly lot in all. When I gave them a polite but firm 'no', they didn't persist. If you go during the middle of the day, you might get them to cut you a discount. When I said my budget was 50,000, even the premier soaps that originally quoted 65,000-80,000 said, 'that's fine! We can take you! ' So go ahead and try your luck!
