I've been to AD 3 times this year, and coming out again Sunday 9th. So far my explorations have led me to:

Ally Pally: not keen, either PRC or African, all too “up-front” re business.

Blitz: (love that band, but gets VERY smoky) where I've sampled a few PRC - always been good at massage as well as the other and always happy to either stay the night or go depending upon my choice; one Eritrean and one Ethiopian (great bodies, but always want more money and to get out as soon as possible).

49’ers: had 2 PRC take-aways, both good.

I’ve mooched around the various rooms in the Howard Johnson, as well as the disco on the 4th floor of the Meridien opposite, but never dealt in either.

Where would you suggest for a WG Filipina experience?

Damn! I'm very unexpectedly sent to Abu Dhabi next week. Is the situation the same as a couple of years ago during Ramadan, i.e. everything closed? Last time I survived by having collected a few phone numbers in advance, but this time I will arrive to late build a collection.

Haven't done a tour to take stock of things but sure AE is open but with reduced timings, never open on a Friday though. Was in Blitz with my GF on Ramadan-eve, was open but no music at all...at least you could talk and quite a few WG's! No WG's on the street though outside which is strange, sort of indicates in a way that the LE tolerate the nocturnal Hamdan and other street 'goings on' the rest of the year but not in Ramadan?

Bars if they are open are just on reduced hours but no live music...pretty sure the AP is open but maybe 7pm onward if same as before. Maybe my imagination but girls clothing seems to be a bit more sober, sure they don't want to provoke any problems with the LE.

Girls have been warned, either by the bars, or by [i]colleagues[/i] who have been here for a previous Ramadan, that more discreet attire is better. Again, actions that would be frowned upon, yet ignored, at other times can bring actual problems now.

One thing I did notice was with no music people were drinking more and there was quite of few openly drunk blokes. Not a very good idea during Ramadan. Just follow the advice here and you should be fine. To be 100% safe go to 49ers collect numbers at the bar go back to your hotel and call them in.

Been a week, been overseas where there was no chance to have fun, come back it Ramadan and my phones start ringing – am a regular for a quite a few who realise that saying here in Ramadan maybe was not a good idea. The newbies thought it was a good idea, the old hands have buggered off!

AP is in the Al ain Palace Hotel, GO through the front door turn right you can;t miss it. However they are back to charging 30 AED just to walk in there.

I walked into 49ers at 2:30 am last Friday and it's game on without music. Most of the places that I know where Russians are, close for the month 49er has a few Stanis and I picked up a Britney Spears look alike Russian in Rock Bottom once but that was prue luck and she wasn't a WG just a bored chick drinking.
