Hi Guys,

I think I have read that the nightlife and bars will be closed some time in November? Anyone know what days will be affected?

If the go-go/bars are closed will there be ladies available? Where?

You are referring to Loy Krathong, which is a festival but not a holiday. The bars and other nightlife venues won't be closed. Many in fact will have special activities that night.

As far as November, I'm here every year during that time and the only holiday I can think of is Loi Krathong ( water festival ) I know they also have elections that time of the year. If that is the case they do close bars and don't sell liquor during that period but as far as Loi Krathong it jamming!

Either way, close or not close girls everywhere!

There is the cremation ceremony for the King's elder sister sometime in the middle of November. For certain, bars and other entertainment outlets will be closed on the day of the cremation, and possibly on surrounding days. I would imagine that this will be strictly enforced.

Freelancers will still be available, and I would think the Beach Road promenade will be very busy!

That is what I was referring to. I thought I read that nightlife venues would possibly be closed NOV 14-16 or maybe even to the 19th?!

I would like to know how this would impact Bangkok and Pattaya. Would it still be easy enough to find a lady for fun? How about in Bangkok?

From what I've heard, EVERYTHING will be closed for the whole period of the funeral of Princess Galyani Vadhana, the king's sister. The dates are actually November 14-19.

I very much doubt if the police will allow freelancer venues or even freelancers on beach road to ply their trade.

My GF's brother is a cop in BKK on royal escort duty for this event and has said that no entertainment venues will be allowed open anywhere in Thailand and that the streets are supposed to be kept "clean", meaning no SWs or even vendors.

I also doubt that alcohol will be available, even in 7/11.

Part 9 – Pattaya

Day 4 in Paradise and I am already drained. Starting in Bangkok a week or so ago, then in Kuala Lumpur, and now in Pattaya, I’ve had more pussy in 12 days than I usually get in a year. Anyways I paid up, total damage for drinks + barfines + short time + tips was 1900 baht. Expensive for a Soi 6 short time but I reckon I had double the fun on half the mojo. Next week when I’m listening to my wife nag me I’ll think that was the best 60 bucks I ever spent!

Part 10 – Pattaya

In Part 9 of my trip report I described how two Soi 6 girls completely drained my power. To recharge my batteries I decided to take a "no boom boom" day. A sad state of affairs but I am an old guy who doesn’t get a lot of pussy back home and not in very good physical shape. 24 hours of rest should put me back in the game.

So I decided to make the most of things and spend some time with my favorite bargirl "O". I mentioned her in my previous trip report (Part 8). After Nong Nooch we went down to Walking Street and spent a few hours in the X-Zone gogo bar (on Soi 16). The next day we hung out together all day. In the morning we walked to Tiffany’s Indoor Shooting Range which is located inside the Tiffany theater on Second Road near Soi 1. In the afternoon we went over to the Tiger Zoo. This is a private zoo about 30 minutes north of Pattaya. It wasn’t quite as good as Nong Nooch, the focus here is on tigers (entertaining) and crocodiles (not so much). They also had a small elephant show and you can pose with the critters.

As the day wound to a close I felt my power returning and I decided that I would go down to Walking Street and barfine a gogo girl.
