I am new to the Paris forum and after reading 2 years of posts it seems clear that one does not go to Paris to monger. I personally have not mongered in Paris for years either, saving my resources for places that offer better value in Asia and South America.

But if you are already in Paris, have had it with the monuments and are looking for entertainment, an alternative to actual sex might be to go watch a "spectacle erotique", i.e a sex show. Unlike those of Amsterdam and other European capitals, Paris' sex shows can be pretty good and very sensual. My favorite theater is "Chochotte", at 34 rue St Andre des Arts at Metro St Michel. It is an intimate venue, the girls are usually beautiful and very sensual and occasionally walk out of the stage to come flirt with the audience. Another plus is that the theater is in the middle of the Latin (student) Quarter, as opposed to the sleazy red light districts in Pigalle or Rue St Denis. Entrance is 50 Euros and you can stay and watch the show for as long as you like, with no pressure.

Show Girls and Theatre Oriental (at the Sexodrome in Pigalle) should be worth a try, unfortunately both were closed today Monday. Theatre Oriental might have been a good show based on several positive reviews in the French Press. By the way, sex shows, as well as swingers clubs (Clubs Libertins) are all listed in the last pages of the local Pariscope guide, which is available from any newsstand for 40 cents. And there is currently an ad in Pariscope that will allow you to get into Theatre Oriental for half price (20 Euros instead of 40) upon presentation of said ad.

Theatre Oriental is within a complex called Sexodrome (across the street from Moon City, which has already been reported on). Sexodrome advertises a sauna, hammam, a bar for singles to meet and most surprisingly a "glory hole" on the second floor, which if I am not mistaken is a ho' in the wall, I mean a hole in the wall used for sexual purposes. Does anyone know if that is true and if the club only provides the wall or also the lady on the other side? I did notice that entrance to the second floor is 10 Euros and that includes a condom. I would be interested to hear further about this place if anyone has tried it.

I am going to take a look around the Arc de Triomphe and avenue de la Grande Armee tonight, will let you know if I come across any opportunity or if the scene is as dead as reported.

According to what I saw on Paris scene, I guess that's the case in many many clubs. I mean, especially the ones that are not that hard to get on when you're a single male. For street actions, I'm not so familiar. When I was in France, I spent most of the time with city tour. But you should check out Bois de Boulogne, that's really exciting and interesting places.
