Just realized I booked my trip to SP right over the carnival holiday (I'm staying there Th. Su). Was this a huge mistake, if I wanted to check out Scandallo, Bomboa, and some of the clinics? Is it going to be extra quiet if everyone else is out for Carnival?

I will be in Sao Paulo between 20.02-26.02. I want to visit Boaboa, Scandalo or mainly the Boates.
Are this places open and busy during Carnaval?

I am pretty sure that Moema Prime will be open most days, maybe Tangara, and probably Casarao at night. I would expect the expensive places like Bomboa, Photo and Scandalo to be ghost towns if they are open at all. But I could be wrong.

I don't know if anyone knows the hours of these establishments with carnival being 10 days away. Sometimes Establishments are slow or closed during carnival, your best bet is to make a list and contact (call / email) the establishments individually for operating hours.

For example Scandallo Lounge that recommended by a lot of senior here, is the setup same as Germany FKK club? Pay entrance fee and negotiate with the lady? What is the rate like in Scandallo Lounge? Ask to speak with one of the supervisors that can speak English and introduce you to girls that can speak English. Here's the major differences:
1. Entry fee is credited against drinks you buy.
2. Girls are fully clothed.
3. No free food or drink. No sauna or massage.
4. Rooms are extra cost.
5. Girls are not sharky. You can chat / dance for a long time and not get rushed to room.
6. Prices are not as standardized and can range quite a bit.
7. It feels way less transactional. Like u are at a nightclub but somehow u are on the top of ur game!
Think about the nicest night club you have been to. Now imagine 150 top notch girls (7-9. 5) there. Now imagine you are irresistible and somehow every girl you flirt with wants to fuck you.

All towards food and drink (beers are 35 Real and up, drinks with booze substantially higher). Rooms are 200 Real for the hour. Girls range from 400 Real to 800 Real for an hour in the room. You can spend time with them in the lounge without charge, although they might expect a drink. It will cost you a minimum of 800 Real in total expenses for an hour of sex. Since most clinicas and prives range from 150 to 250 for an hour (non-gp-guia poster pricing), that is 3 to 5 times what it would cost you at a clinica or prive. While the average girl level may be higher at places like Scandalo, there are girls at clinicas and prives that are equal to or better than the girls there, and some of the clinica and prive girls also work at those kind of clubs. I never found anyone there that was worth 3-5 times the cost of the clinica or prive girls I did.
Scandalo, and places like it, are basically places for late night fucking after the clinicas and prives close, and for those who want to romance the girl so that they can think their charm is the reason she wants to go to the room.
