Sosua Reports

4. At this point in Sosua, are there independent girls available for pick up in most of the bars, providing you go late enough at night?

5. Options in the sack: Specifically, If I pull a girl at Passions or CMP, is an uncovered BJ fine? Eating pussy? GFE? Anal? I heard that negotiation is not allowed at those places, so I'm curious what is specifically offered.

6. Weed or whatever. If someone was interested in getting a little weed or whatever. Not me, this is just a theoretical question. Is that relatively easy? Is it too dangerous in relation to the criminal element or johnny law?

Hey I want to thank you guys that took the time to answer my questions. I got nothing but good advice and information I certainly appreciate it. For sure I'll be upgrading my hotel room. If not to the jacuzzi room, at least to the new wing. And I'll be staying away from anything illegal. It was going to be a small part of my trip, at most, if it was low risk. But I don't want to end up on an episode of "Locked Up Abroad." Thanks for keeping me on the straight and narrow.

Again, appreciate it and I'll post a trip report when I get back.

I never turned that thing on, TV is the last thing I want in Sosua. I should try the jaccuzi room once. My last trip, my buddies stayed at the old wing, the rooms were not so bad IMHO. They were much smaller, not too much room to walk around and the bathrooms were older but everything worked. Plus some of the old wing room are in a great location, esp. during daytime to sit out and have a drink or a smoke. They are right by the pool in the first floor.

Being sober, you'll most problably walk away from this, but at times when you are in seventh heaven they may trap you and become your buddies (or in reality leaches). Never mind the stuff they offer you is bogus or useless, they won't let you be alone anymore and make your stay miserable by hounding you therafter. Apart from hounding or petty crimes, they have developed wings and will try their new tricks at any unsuspecting/easy tourist targets. I am not saying dont take a motococho, if you have to do so but only for that purpose.

MY ADVICE TO NEWBIES, IF YOU AVOID THESE GUYS FROM THE GET GO AND STEER CLEAR, YOUR SOSUA TRIPS WILL BE WONDERFUL AND YOU WILL HAVE ETERNAL BLISS IN THE LAND OF WARM AND WELCOMING PUSSIES.

Like I said, for ST I ask chicas to use it as sort of a polite way of saying "please keep your make-up on" which would just wash completely off in the shower. I'm sure you've run into chicas (hell, all women world-wide in general) in where once the make-up came off you were like "damn, what happened to the broad that was here a just few minutes ago?".

And I agree. Both of my rooms in the new wing were on the first floor but just too damn far from the pool. I always ended up sitting in front of my wingman's room (which was in the old wing on the first floor directly in front of the pool). Best damn view in the house!

Last year was my first time going to Sosua. I went solo and the first day I had show me around after that I realize everything I wanted to check out was on ONE STREET. After the first day he kept asking if I needed a tour, I told him no. No matter where I went and what time it was just always find me crying he's hungry and other bull. After the 3rd day I had to yell at him to go away. It lasted about two days then he pops up again like he didn't remember me telling him to go away.

Yea those guys can really put you in a bad mood sometimes. I hate to be rude to a local in a different country, but sometimes they really push you.

Are there still kids / hustlers hanging out at the rumba bar or classicos in the late evenings or nights. There particularly annoying.

I can honestly say that I have never once been offered weed or drugs. I agree with using motos only if there is no other convenient option, but where I live and with my routine I have to use them a lot. They are dangerous and I have already been lucky to walk away from one accident with hardly a scratch.

The point about buying weed or illegal drugs is not so much that the danger of the cops catching you. They are lazy and incompetent. The danger is that you will be framed by the seller acting in concert with a cop and sometimes a lawyer and / or puta are involved too. Same applies to under-age girls.

I had a torn bill in Peru once and the guy did not want to exchange it at first, but I settled to take a lower rate from him in exchange for the torn bill. I am taking it that "large Bills" means $100's or $50's (US Dollars). What would be better? I have read the forum and I am still a little unclear on the best place to exchange Dollars to Pecos. I will be staying at BB in Puerto Plata for a few days then I might go to Sosua for the remainder of my stay. Should I exchange them at BB or go to a bank?

Then again I've never had it be an issue either but I think that is because I always get my traveling money from the bank just before shipping out and generally the bank takes the shitty bills out I think.

I am 54 years old and have been offered things of that nature several times whereas I have traveled with some younger friends and they have been approached numerous times.

Your point about being framed is very well taken, not that I would do anything stupid such as buy drugs in a third world country, I just hope the poster that inquired heeds your advise.
