Staying overnight at these 5 star motels during week days is actually pretty nice as you only pay like $4, 000 NT for a very large lavish room. I often choose these type of motels to stay overnight when I take the family for vacation. But remember, on weekend, the motel charge full price which could be $6, 000 and up to $10, 000.

Everyone who knows the deal between Taiwan and China know why Anyway, Taipei City was run by Mayor Ma who is pro-unification thus some Taipei street signs actually incorporate China's pinyin.

Furthermore, thing will get complicated if you we do. The girl that the owner done will self-promote herself to become the "lady boss" of the bar because she thinks that she now have a special relationship with the owner. If we want to girls we will go to other hostress bars of our friends.

Also, sometimes when one particular bar is so busy, we do "borrow" girls from the less busy bars. I believe this is simliar system with KTVs in Taiwan because the mamasan does call mamasan from other KTVs over if they run out of girls. I had verified this to be true with a couple of mamasan in Taipei. This is also one of the reason why I said there are a lot of similiarity between Japan and Taiwan system.

The Hostress Bar I own just happens to be the fact that the previous owner, whom had became my friend, was in debt over gambling and needed "an investor" to help him out to continue the business.

I WAS also driving a truck, but since i despise that job so much it didn't last more than 3 months. Going back to it is a last choice. Eating shitty food not once, but thrice per day. Staring at the road for 10 hours continuously and 70 hours per week. Never being able to exercise. For what it's worth, the thing that got me in trouble on that last job was high blood pressure-- a direct result of not being able to exercise.

I am taking up again in this forum the post of Steve of last July. 2 months ago, I try to explore the places Steve mentioned but as that time my main motive is to locate the places only (not to mentioned I was chicken out) so I did not try it then not until today I went for the 2nd time and found those places with whole bunch of shops. I remember those days. I hit the taipei scene around the early 80's. I remember going to one just off Jen Ai Lu. in section 2. It was a tea shop with dark cubicles in the back of the shop. Most of the provider were young college girls looking to earn a few extra bucks. After a few times i even took one to one of those hourly motels nearby. ahh.. those were the days. exchange rate was around 40/1usd and the cost was only 250nt per hour or so. those were the days. imagine those were the days.

Yeah it costs a hell of a lot compared to China, you have my sympathies, I am in BJ for a business trip and I cant believe how cheap it is here. Taipei can suck for P4P so what I recommended still holds true. Find a good provider and still with her. She will usually give you top choice and I have even had her find me certain types. Its like finding a good butcher - find one that has to best meat and stay loyal. It will pay off in the end. You wind up paying more or less the same but at least you get quality.
