I guess you pay what you can afford and what you feel comfortable with. Prices of goods that you buy in the stores are universally higher than in the US, so $1500 pesos (US$45) does not go very far. Of course if a chica is pulling several guys a day, then she is making out like a bandit, but in most cases they are lucky if they get one or two a week. At the present time all the businesses in Sosua, not just the girls, are hurting and barely staying above water, or going under.

I don't think getting the makeup kits or hearing the sound system will make much difference to the girls, because their needs are at a much more fundamental level, like clothes for their kids, medicines for parents, a visit to the hairdresser or the dentist, and so on. Probably buying her a some food and a couple of beers is good for a discount.

I don't think you can really overpay. The fact is that they are so poor that you can never give them enough, so the deciding question tends to be what you want to pay.

When I was down there a few weeks ago I had a women agree to 500 pesos for short time, and she was terrific in the sack, so I gave her 1000 and then she figured she was practically married to me, so maybe I was just getting the discount introductory offer, but I sent her on her way all the same.

If you bargain them down too low, they will tend to agree, especially if they are desperate for money, but then they will want to renegotiate once they are sure you are committed, and the whole situation becomes unsatisfactory.

Let me add a bit to my previous post. You, like many of the guys who go down there, don't quite understand the system.

You say you would pay1500 pesos for 1 1/2 to 2 hours.

Now in the US or the UK escorts will charge an hourly rate regardless of sex, so three hours of dining and dancing and one hour of sex will cost you the same as four hours of sex. (Or so I am told on good authority, never having tried it myself.)

In the DR it is quite different. You can spend the whole evening with her dining, drinking, and dancing and not pay a thing except for her food and drinks. But when it comes to the sex, you are expected to make a donation, and she is generally willing to do her best to give you sexual satisfaction, but that does not run to having repeated sex for two hours unless she is hoping to make you into a novio (regular boyfriend, fiance).

So once you have your orgasm, as far as she is concerned she is off the clock and wants to be paid.

Of course this does not apply exactly in this way in every case, but if you are in the position of needing to discuss how much you will pay or ought to pay, then this is what you are dealing with.

I think that 800 to 1000 for ST is a fair deal if you have got a minimum of game and know how to play it.

I won't say that these girls have a cool life but I am not beginning to cry.

I was surprised to hear jim woods numbers then the posts confirming it because the highest Ive ever paid was $40 both times I was there. The last being around a year and a half ago. The second time I went the service wasnt as great as the first time. The first time I was getting $55 pesos to $1 us and then the following year it was 35 and then now.
I just came back this june from spending 25 days in buenos aires and paying $10 -20 US a pop for bbbjs daty dfk and even anal so excuse me for having sticker shock.

I did TLN six or seven times and never had a problem. But then the girl's personality was big concern for me, not price. I think if you choose the girl well you won't have any trouble. I would agree that I tend of forget that most women are doing what they do for survival. That is not to say that there are hardcore women that should be paid an amount equal to their attitude. Being from Colombia, most latin women like us for our money and the way we treat them. However, keep in mind that if your to gentle, a hardcore will crush your nuts and your heart. Is the Rio rate really important in your decision making process in the DR? Why is beating the Rio rate even an item for discussion?

If you like big-assed women with average looks you may well get by at a lower rate than I did, since I was a little selective. Hell, it seemed like everyone one in Sosua fit that bill. It is only if your interests diverge from that that you need to look a little harder.

$120 is almost 4,000 pesos, that's enough for two TLN every night! You'll do fine. And I couldn't walk in a bar in Sosua without but someone was buying me a drink, so getting enough beer in my system was no problem. For reference, the Shark bar beer is 85 and hamburger is 120 or so, can't remember exactly, but a beer and hamburger/pizza, etc should only set you back 300 pesos.

But think about your time: if you have to throw a chica out of your room or have an argument with a chica and get all pissed off, you're pretty much done for that night, right? So, spend another 500 pesos/$15 and get a girl who you know will work out.

Plus, TLN means one sex at night and one in the morning, plus breakfast together (you pay). Now, where are you going to find your morning blowjob if you didn't take her home with you the night before?

You really need to check out Passions, there were lots of girls there with the big asses and cute faces that would please you. You try a few out with the 1,000 pesos handjob on site and make an appointment for the evening.

Even after bar fine (500) and TLN (2000) you still have a budget of 1,500 per day which is plenty for three meals and the odd motoconcho ride. Maybe some days you slum a little and get something at the disco, car wash, etc. But I found that it was good to have something sure waiting at Passion, then check out the disco scene until midnight, and, if I haven't found exactly what I want at the disco, pick up the proven good TLN at Passions.

I am inclined to agree with your last point. You can either be a bit of a butterfly collector and pick out the cutest and sweetest specimens to pin in your album, or you can go for the lustiest, horniest ones who will provide a great sweaty fuck and the often the best bang for your buck. An excellent source of information is Herman, the owner of Siempre Sol #153 on the beach. He is most willing to share info about the ladies and other goings on.
