Not exactly CB. You were on the right track, but now you're off a bit.
You make vaild points concerning Nihzny-Novgorod and I think I will skip Russia completely and focus on Ukraine. My second option is to always go back to Minsk and follow up on the ground work I made in September-October.
The problem with Kharkov, or so I have read on this site, is that the girls there seem to be similar to the girls in Belarus: conservative and not as apt to find a sponsor like in Kyiv or a much poorer Ukrainian city like Ternopil. However, I have also read in numerous posts here on ISG that the women in Kharkov are mostly students and absolutely beautiful. However, I don't speak Russian or Ukrainian but I do dress very well, have a trusting personality and am not afraid to spend money. So, I have a tough decision to make. Kharkov could be very rewarding or an absolute disaster. I do like your idea of contacting English departments.
Don't write off Russia so quickly.
After 8 years and 15 spring or autumn visits to Kharkov, I stopped going there and now I've only gone to Russia for the last four years. And I'm not sorry about that at all. I simply had never been to Russia, and so I wanted to try it, to see how they compared and if it was really any better.
All of Latex's reasons are valid, but what it comes down to is whether a monger is going for business or not.
If someone is going strictly for mongering, there are some points that have not been mentioned yet. Some readers will think they are not important points. You can decide for yourself about that.
Part of the puzzle, is about how easy it is to get there or not. Visas and registrations are more difficult. You can look at that two ways. You can take the easier road. But the more difficult path will probably lead you to where making acquaintances will allow you meet women that you will be their first foreigner to sleep with.
Abou Kharkov, the pro scene there is VERY limited. There's almost no agencies to call. And the one that is there, usually has only one woman that's a 7 or 8/10. The rest are skanks.
But for sponsorships, the possibilities in a city of 1. 5 million people, are limitless. BUT the limit, is your lack of speaking Russian. Without that, your chances for sponsorships decrease about 80% to 90. Because the women that would be open to that speak zero english. With no Russian, you'll never even find them or vice versa, let alone figure out where to meet. Yes, Mamba helps, buts its definitely not enough. So your only option is to make friends with SOMEONE who can translate for you, and pay them to be your sponsorship interpreter.
Don't get hung up on students. Lots of women that are 19-21 attend some university or institutes, but there are a lot that don't too. They're not all that different, in that they all need spending money for something. They're certainly not all absolutely beautiful. Don't let that slow you down either.
Like Kharkov or Nizhny or anywhere, its a tough road to plough. There's always highs and lows, good days, great days, slow days, and shitty times. Keep in mind I am talking about meeting not less than one or even two new women EVERY single day, AT A MINIMUM! Any goal set lower than that is not much of a challenge.
The key is certainly not clubs like ZTOP. Unless your goal is to listen to dance music blasting loud enough to make you go deaf, and to try to get a phone number of someone that may or may not ever meet you another time, and may or may not sleep with you.
What I've learned, is that its all about being outgoing and friendly and courteous and making lots and lots of friends, and being overly generous. If you can do that, eventually the word gets around and the women who are open to sponsorships will come to you via their girlfriends, and then you really don't have to worry about taxis or metros or buses or restaurants or nightclubs or agencies or visas or registrations.
There's nothing inexpensive about that though. Until you meet some ladies that aren't greedy, and then it all evens out.
2013 World Junior Hockey Championship
The 2012 World Junior Hockey Championship in Calgary, Alberta, Canada just finished (Sweden defeated Russia for the gold medal) and I am already considering a trip to the 2013 tournament in Ufa, Russia. That's a long way from Canada but I am up for the challenge. I have heard Ufa is a 6 hour flight from Moscow. Other than that I know nothing about this city.
Has anyone been to Ufa? What is the city like?
Of course I will look at the usual websites to meet women in Ufa but advice from members here is always welcomed.
Happy New Year!
