They are bitter rivals with conflicting interests more misaligned than the American-Iranian relationship.

The two nations have a mutually beneficial and transactional relationship in both trade and defense.

Additionally, the relationship between the two nations is not as simple as you guys are depicting. Saudi decisions are made in concert with their regional Quad that includes Israel, UAE, and Egypt, all nations that keep Saudi Arabia from going rogue against US interests.

Recent Saudi actions regarding production could have easily been predicted. Saudi Arabia has been purchasing cheap Russian oil for months now. As such, a decrease in production was expected as they are using Russian oil to fuel domestic needs and producing less for export. That is a prudent move to keep prices stable considering the destabilization effects of low Russian prices. Crude oil prices have not moved proportionately to their announcement because due to import of Russian oil, a decrease in production will not yield a proportional decrease in export of oil.

Overblown political rhetoric that the Saudi monarchy is loving as it makes them appear more powerful than they are.

Even if not trained, sending a bunch of fully automatic AK47 armed people at Ukraine will wreak havoc. Just parachute them behind artillery lines at least. Or have them all charge at once they will overwhelm the Ukrainians.

And Comrade P. Needs to take out all power and water facilities in Lviv and incediary firebombs to make that city a wasteland to prevent resupply from the USA and NATO. As time goes on Ukrainians will die at a lesser rate than Russians but Russia has ten times more people and it will prevail at the end.
