i had a weird experience tonight.

In my last visit to the Mansion, a few fellow guests gave (very) negative reviews of her. I can, however, verify that her photos are accurate. She does has a pretty face.

It's one of the highest paying venues in town. You have less than one percent of (male) gringos in Medellin at any given time during the year concentrated at The Mansion (both houses) and the handful of properties owned by Poblado Rentals. It's not even a speck in this very large city."We" may be fucking up the prices within out very small prepago/gringo circle, but it's not enough of us there at one time to effect what happens all year long. If prices are going up at Loutron, Fase Dos, New Life, Coffee House, San Diego, etc, its because the Colombianos are causing and paying those prices.

You could be in Medellin and (if not staying at the Mansion) never bump into another gringo your entire trip. Outside of the Mansion group I did a Casa run with, I saw one other guy from Florida hanging at New Life (was staying at an apartment) , and one other gringo we spoke to who was coming out of the Hard Rock Cafe. I was in Medellin for 5 days and went everywhere (and a lot of times by foot).

When I went to San Diego Grill, La Isla, and La Mansana, the three of us were the only gringos in all three places. All three places were packed: with Colombianos.

Just look at food prices in Colombia, anyone that has been going to Colombia for five years or more and has shopped for food staples and such will tell you that EVERYTHING in Colombia has risen in price not just the price of getting laid. Even in the USA, I know this isn't a fair comparison maybe but think of what you paid for gas a couple years ago in relation to what you paid for pu$$why a couple years ago.

I shit you not when I say that gas were I am has shot up from $3.19 to $3.39 in just a matter of a few days. Possibly had something to do with the Dow going up also (correlation, lol?). Most will say its a "sucker's rally" though. All it's going to take is for another quarter of contraction and the unemployment rate to tick up a few more notches (we went to 7.9 from 7.8) for the Dow to begin a free fall.

Chica prices should be in check because of the inflation though. If food prices and other staples in Colombia are going up, it means more people (mongers: both gringo and Colombian) will have less discretionary income to spend (on pros). I think you will be able to hold firm at 100k. The beautiful thing about Medellin is that there is no shortage of hot chicas one phone call away. If she is a popular girl and has had enough clients that month to pay her rent, food etc, then she will be more apt to hold her ground on the price. If she needs immediate cash flow then she is more likely to drop her price.

Medellin will never be as big of a monger destination as other places for two reasons. One is fear. There are many people that would love to go to Colombia to bang hot girls that don't have the balls. I openly discuss my travels with my circle of friends and family and the ONLY place they shake their head in amazement at is when I mention the country of Colombia. Anyone that has extensively traveled in South and Central America knows there are plenty of places that are MUCH worse but the average Joe doesn't have a clue. The other reason Medellin will never be a huge gringo monger destination is that the "families" in Medellin that control the money in that city won't allow it. Yes, prostitution is legal and tolerated all over Colombia, but in your face, out in the open Sosua, DR or San Jose, CR style will never fucking happen, ever.

I am totally out of the stock market at present, I am convinced it is about to tumble, what comes up must come down and the stock market is living proof and has had a tremendous run up. I jump in after a significant fall and get out after I make my pound of flesh and have been pretty successful using this theory.

I also agree in holding the line on chica prices, I was speaking to the general overall price creeping up, eventually enough girls will turn their noses away at 100k where 125 will be the bottom, it is just economics. You pull in with your car, moto, cab, whatever to a garage. You go upstairs and there is a room with a big bed, a stripper pole, a Turkish bath, a Jacuzzi / shower and a little safe looking thing. You never see anyone, everything is done through this little caja with a mini bar above it. At the end, they bill you for whatever. Six hours is 90K pesos, everything else (booze, condoms, sex toys, drinks, food) is billed along with that at the end. The prices are not cheap but reasonable enough. For a Red Bull, a vibrator, a bottle of rum and a Gatorade it was maybe 80K pesos.

In El Centro there are numerous fuck hotels, most of them greasy. A couple that cater to the trio of "respectable" strip joints on Maracaibo are OK. Hotel Country is the older one, they have big rooms with a Jacuzzi that are 30K S-F and 37 or 40 K on Saturday (I forget). They have smaller 20K rooms as well if you're just in and out, and probably short time rates. I have fond memories of this place and the rooms are decent, but it's worn down for sure. Clearly a fuck hotel. The other place that opened recently right by those strip joints (one block heading up the hill) is Hotel Romantic Suites. This place is cool. It's got cheesy themed rooms (a football pitch with fake grass and a goal net above the bed LOL; various Italian, Egyptian and other national themes; cartoon themes, etc) and the setup is nice. While it's clearly a fuck hotel, it does not appear run down and the service is excellent. Big TVs, nice beds (firm though) , Jacuzzi, awesome showers (better than fancy hotel ones) and stereo systems. Cool setup that costs 25K for 3 hours (additional hours 8K) or 29K from 7PM to 2PM (best deal) or 61K for whatever time you check in before 7PM until 2PM the next day. Saturdays are slightly more.
