One had an counter price of 2 K and the other 1.5 K. When I asked the lady why that is, she was quite forthcoming that the reason is police there demands more money. So that nexus is very much true, as most of us suspect by default.

From what I have heard is, political parties routinely demand money from local stores where they deal with cash. It is sort of a 'protection money' and I heard that these kinds of establishments pay such 'protection money' to the head of the street level workers who may be affiliated with parties. So even if it is not the higher level politicians, the local workers will need to get paid.

MPs are simply ripping money for the least of service they provide, I have stopped visiting MPs, the reason being, they charge 1500 as entry fee + 1000 to 1500 for the extra services, as per our requirement, so the total damage workout to 3 k for only mechanical HJ, you feel been robbed off when you come out of MPs. Whereas for 3 k we can get a FS. We mongers think MPs are safer than FS, but I think the other way, MPs are too risky than FS, since these MPs advertise openly in net / news ads, etc. So visibility to LE is more, better avoid MPs, is my advice.
