I think this is more to do with a kind of subtle anti-Haitian feeling that exists in some quarters on this board that almost borders on rac, I mean preju, oh never mind. Haitians are not necessarily darker than Dominicanas and anyone who knows anything would know that people of African ancestry who spend a lot of time in the sun are likely to turn very dark, and most of the Haitian men you will see in the DR are doing outdoor jobs, hence very dark. However if you go to Haiti, you will see more variety.

I am not getting at SavePros, but he may be influenced by others here who have posted negative comments about Haitians.

Give the Putas a break and check out Los 27 Charcos Damajagua (think my spelling may be alittle off). Its a group of 27 waterfalls to where you can do some small rockclimbing, jump off cliffs into pools of gushing water, swim through some natural canals. I did it on my last visit and it was AMAZING! I took my chick with me and she had the time of her life. It only cost me 340 pesos too. The location can be alittle tough to find but its before the tunnel on the way to Santiago. Definetly worth checking out or just a cool ass place to check out during the day.

In Sosua this place happens to be Merengue / Classico. If that place left then I don't think Sosua would be the same. Think of any shopping mall that you know of where the anchor store has closed and you will remember that it has left a desolate shit hole of a mall in its wake. The same thing happened in Rio. When Help Disco closed the point-and-click mongers who depended on the venue and the supporting places around it were left with only the shit hole that is Balcony. And there the girls started to ask 3 and 4 times what the going rate was before. The termas (similar to La Passion in Sosua) also increased their prices significantly. The day time monger / hooker meet up Meia Pataca restaurant was taken over by families. There were no more hookers trolling the beach in the daytime. Only the mongers who were already off the beaten paths and could speak a little Portuguese have been able to continue to thrive and get more bang for their buck in the local venues such as the downtown casas, privees, and Vila Mimosa.

Although I've never been to Rio, no one from that forum disputes the fact that it all went downhill immediately after the closing of Help Discoteca.

I'm coming to Sosua for the first time June 8th through the 12th I know this is a ways away but I want to start planning now.

I booked a room at the new garden in the old section. How is this compared to the new section from what I understand there are women available there if so what are the prices.

I have read about La Passions and Classicos as the place to find P4P how close are these places to New Garden. I know La Passions has set prices what are the prices at Classicos. What other locations are there to find P4P and what will the prices be. Are there daytime options available.

Where can I get Viagra and what will the prices be. Are dollars accepted or will I have to convert my money into the local currency.

Will anyone be there around this time and want to meet up and show this DR newbe around.
