Rain made crossing the border into the US harder than usual
I crossed on foot starting at around 2:30 PM after arriving at La Linea on a 10 pesos bus originating at 2nd near Constitution. That bus got stuck in a lot of back up traffic in the Sentri approach lane. Soon after I got in line the rain was falling in an extended hard downpour that turned the pedestrian sidewalk into a +1 inch river. It was even deeper by another inch or two in areas of the other side of sidewalk where folks walking into Mexico were walking the other direction. General line entrants were blocking large sections of the Sentri and ReadyLane lines as they tried moving away from areas where lots of water was getting in. Eventually I weaved my way through the crowed lines and discovered there really were practically no ReadyLane entrants right up until the turnstiles. Once I stopped getting held back by general line entrants, it took me only about 15 minutes inside the terminal.
My quasi wingman drove his car through Sentri, staring at about 3:30 PM. It took him close to an hour to navigate his car through the Sentri lanes. He said that the newly configured cement lane dividers caused the water to collect and pool (and not escape) in a large section of the Sentri. QW was concerned that his car might stall out because the rain water had gotten nearly high enough to give some cars problems.
Is Tijuana a dangerous city?
I decided to put this information in the General thread instead of the HK thread.
According to the numbers, I would say it is a dangerous city; 295 murders in the first half of 2015. Here is the article and link:
TIJUANA. With a total of 295 murders reported in the first half of 2015, this year has been more violent than the same period last year, when there were 248 murders in the same period, reveals data from the Citizen's Council on Public Safety (CCSP).
In the document can be seen that in the first six months of 2015 there were also more murders than in the same period in 2013, when there were 279 murders, or in 2005, when there were 196.
According to the crime analysis from the CCSP, the neighborhoods where there were the largest number of murders (in June 2015) are the Zona Norte, downtown Tijuana, Camino Verde, the Jardines section of Playas de Tijuana and the first and second sections of El Florido.
The statistics also reveal that during the first six months of this year, there have only been six kidnapping reported, a figure which is lower when compared to prior years, as in 2014, for example, there were 16 and in 2010 there were 33 in the same period.
Within the statistics divulged by the CCSP, it mentioned there were 73 reported express kidnappings.

Is there a mexican site similar to this?
This is the site I use when in Vietnam. http://banhmy.us/ Basically, you set up an account, buy a phone refill card for your sim, enter the card info to your account and you are given that as a credit. You use your credit to obtain the girls phone number, which generally cost about a dollar. 80% of the girls I have contacted are the actual girls in the pic. The girls will run anywhere from 15-50 dollars, 50 being model type calibre.
Is there something like this for Tijuana?
Who wouldn't want to boink this natural beauty for $23.
Mexico visa tourist and passport requirement
There was some talk that Mexico is going to start requiring passports to enter the country. I am currently waiting a replacement for my passport card. ? Have not been down in awhile so I was wondering if they will accept a proof of application or what the current status. ? There was also some talk that this will start in August. ?
