Something to lighten the mood. Just back from 10 days here where I introduced my young amigo to Colombia and in particular La Dulce Vita on the first night. The beach in Cartagena is average. Monday thru friday the beach is dead, it will be you and the touts. Sat. is better, Sunday is the big day. A lot of families, sellers and chicas. It is definitely not Rio, many of the people swim with t-shirts on! Working girls usually start arriving around 2:00 in the afternoon. Would not pay more than 60,000 pesos for daytime. I found daytime action there slow, much more options at night. At night you have centro, bocagrande and LDV. Talent at LDV is almost always good. I really need some advice. I have a lot of Qs, but I am going to make it short.

I was thinking about staying at The Mansion place because that place looks tight, but I am not to sure if its my crowd because of my age, but I might be wrong.

Agree with you 100% with Mery. She is the best.. The prices being quoted are ridiculous, but i am sure can be lowered with effective bargiaining (in Spanish). But these are still ominous indicators of how Cartagena has changed over the last 3 or 4 years due to the influx from the North.
