Cuban visa?
I BTW. As I am headed to Cuba next week for a few weeks I will not be down to Tijuana so in my absence treat the girls nice.
The Tall Man.
How the heck did you manage a visa. I looked into it a month ago and no tourist visa as of yet. One can get a business visa, visa to visit family, or a group tour, which are all booked since the US normalized relations with Cuba. A couple of my friends have dual citizenship so they have been using their Mexican passport to get into Cuba for the last few years and fly put of Mexico. Perhaps things have changed since both sides now have embassies and one can get a tourist visa.

Just buy a ticket from another country such as DR, Mexico, Canada, or anywhere else. Put a piece of paper in your passport for them to stamp instead of stamping the page. And if you did happen to get caught by US authorities then the most that would happen is a fine of a couple thousand dollars.

Sentri question
I just got a conditional approval for sentri. Can anyone with experience in the interview process help me out? I'm thinking of maybe moving to playas and rent out my house in Hillcrest. Should I tell CBP I want to live in Mexico? Or should I make something up like I have sugar mama in Mexico. I can probably rent out my house for 1500-1800 and get a decent place for 500-600 in playas. The rental income can pay for my mortgage and rent in Mexico so I'm really intent on going through with it.
Just not sure if they will reject me for wanting to live in Mexico.

I have depended on SENTRI for years for expedited border crossing. Although I don't recall the specific questions during the initial interview, I believe they were more interested that all the paperwork was in order and that you have a clean record. In dealing with government inquiries, it is generally best to provide only what information is necessary. Wanting SENTRI to visit friends is a legitimate purpose and would likely invoke less scrutiny than wanting SENTRI because of plans to live in Mexico. I'd suggest to keep it simple and not bring up the relocation plans.

Although my visit to Havana, Cuba next week will be my first many Gringos simply enter through either Canada, Mexico or another country other than USA.

Be sure to request Global Entry to the officer and they will add this at I believe no additional cost.
Note that you can also get a vehicle checked and approved. They will do this after your interview and they need to visually look at the vehicle. Don't have any tinting on the front windows as this is not allowed.
Good luck.

Have things picked up?
My last 2 visits to Zona Norte were in mid-June. Even considering that my visits were on weekday afternoons, I was unimpressed. Low quality and low quantity for both street girls and bar girls. Prior afternoon visits were much, much better.
I'll be in LA next week with Thursday unbooked. Have early Friday LA committment, so I can't stay late in TJ. Have things in ZN gotten better over the last 2 months? I'm considering a drive south for another quick visit.
Also, there haven't been many posts in the last few weeks regarding police shakedowns or thugs or other bad things. Does that seem to have gotten better?

Weekdays In The Zona
Yo Horse I am usually a weekday tripper. Key is to go late afternoons after 6 Pm is usually when the girls BGs and SGs start their shifts, the better looking ones that is IMHO. Things certainly have calmed down compared to the last couple months. Noticed the fed police were around the zona a few weeks back but that was on a weekend. Also most of the girls have returned from vacations and noticed a crop of new girls. All in all the zona is still the best bet. The exchange rate is at an all time high about 16 to 1 so pussy has never been a better bargain. I say go for it you should be fine safety wise.

People from LA OC
Just found out there is a sort of commuter train from La Oc that links up to the Coaster in San Diego. The cost is something like 30 to 40 bucks and will take you down to San Diego that links up to the Coaster in Oceanside then goes to Santa Fe depot in downtown San Diego, after that it is just hop on trolley to the border. Might be worth it just to avoid the drive and traffic for some of you guys that like to come down and play.

The answer is that it is hard to tell. HK seems to back at full strength plus a couple of co-eds from all over doing Mexico their Tijuana summer internship. I suspect that Adelitas is the same. So the popular clubs have their regulars back and a couple of summer interns.
However I noticed that the prettiest chicas in the alley is "on vacation. ".
BTW I went through the new gate structure yesterday. There was no line so it was manageable. But it looks like there is insufficient booths staffing to handle high volume. So it is probably best to avoid high volume time. It's going to be a zoo. Good luck to everyone visiting on a weekend.

But back then the chances of having a Narco as a neighbor was kind of high. Now it is much safer. Keep us update on your moving plans as I may soon follow.

Connects at Oceanside with the Coaster then the Trolley at America Plaza / Santa Fe Depot.
I think you are referring to the Sprinter Train. I don't think he meant the Sprinter, which only moves East to West inside of San Diego County from Oceanside to Escondido.
Ricky is likely asking about Metrolink trains or Amtrak trains that serve areas of LOS Angeles & Orange County and both link up with the Coaster in Oceanside. The Coaster will go to downtown San Diego, where the trolly line is close enough for that final travel leg to the border.
Here's a link to the somewhat integrated LOSSAN lines (LOS Angeles to San Diego):

IMHO it requires too many connections and too much travel & connection time for most people to consider it a convenient alternative to driving down to Tijuana / San Ysidro.

Friday night report
I had an pretty good time in Tijuana Friday night / Saturday morning. It was my third visit. When entering I just walked right through. I stayed overnight as Cascadas and did 3 street girls and 2 bar girls. The cops did stop, search, and question me about whether I had drugs or was buyas I was walking around looking for one last lady around at 2:30 am Friday night. But I was surprised and happy that they didn't take any of the $100 I was carrying. I thought for sure they were going to. Incidentally, a guy tried to sell me drugs earlier in the day. But I fortunately have no interest in drugs. Unfortunately however I spent all my money too fast and so I had to head back before the line died down. So I ended up waiting in line for 1.5 hours in the hot afternoon. But it was worth it.

Thanks.
The OP might want to consider the $1 bus which goes directly to the San Ysidro Border from LA. I don't know the website but I do know somebody who uses this as his main mode of transport and it works well for him.
