Wall to Wall people including active duty military, no where to sit, no maneuvering room in bars like the Chicago. I was shocked at the changes when I went back in 2015. The difference is the fear of violence now with the cartels that wasn't there back then. Off limits for military and not as many Americans will risk it now. The girl to guy ratio is 10 times better now, Clubs are fancier, Keep in mind I was a Navy liaison on Clark AB in Angeles City RP in the early 80's for 3 years single. Tijuana now is comparable to that (but not quite as good).

I always go to HK every trip because it's a damn party. But, there is room for improvement. Most of the issue with HK stems from the lack of competition in the zona, as there really is no club with the same status as HK that brings in the foreign crowd, which is why it's so uncomfortably packed on the weekend.

A line now formed outside of Nike wrapping around the building as if Nike products were being rationed, I found out that pedwest pedestrian was closed, so I decided why not and take the drive. Driving was a breeze. I parked by Pueblo Amigo and ubered over to the clubs.

My fav activity was to walk around the block, like they were the different themes at Disneyland (if you can imagine the smells and vibes of Chavelas reminding you of frontierland, welcome to my world) exiting through the alleys and circling back passing Chicago feeling the atmosphere of each location and always settling down with 2 beers at HK. Of course, I couldn't do that this time around.

My first time back in months. My uber warned me about walking around, saying most have not ate or made bread in months- so understand peoples desperation and be aware of your surroundings. Sent chills up my spine and I totally understood what he meant. I had him drive me around the block twice to see if I had recognized any street girls. Saw 3 or 4 decent ones I would go with under normal circumstances, but the rest were just not my taste. Maybe 5 at most were wearing masks. Dropped me off in front of HK, went straight to the upstairs lounge which was the old Miami room. The vibe felt just weird and I wasn't used to HK being so limited and empty. The manager presented me with a line up of 4 hotties ranging from 7.5 to 9.9 and said if I got a room, its be 60 bucks for 6 beers with the girl? Usually, I would get a room to calm my nerves and settle down, but renewing a VIP card is just not a smart option at the moment nor paying full price for a room for a couple of hours. I needed a place to chill so I left.

Next stop Adelitas, they had thier rooms upstairs setup like private VIP areas where girls walk in and out trying to sell ariba. Opted for a drink here. At this point, I was about to abort mission thinking about the apocalyptic world I just walked into. My usual get away from the reality back home was just not the same. Finished my drink and checked out Tropicals Rizo.

Nicely remodeled, walked into a penhouse suite where 5 girls were hanging out. Couple bros in there sitting with chicas. This was about the closest vibe and experience to normal as it can be condensed into a smaller space. I knew, if I decided to go up with even a straight 10 chica, it just wasn't going to happen for me. I was just too bummed to make the best of it. Tipped out a couple of the girls and maseros and decided it was time to end my trip.

Hopeful for the future, reminiscing on the old times. Looking for that new routine to escape reality and teleport to the happiest place on earth.
