I lock these with a 4 number combo lock. The chain is strong, yet fits in the palm of my hand. The hard case has no zipper, it locks and is very secure and the carry-on bag is locked also with a 4 number combo lock. A thief would have to break the chain (bolt cutters) or carry both bags out chained together which would be difficult and suspicious. If it is convenient, I also wrap the chain around something secure in the room and takes less than two minutes to set this up. It may be extreme, but it works and would give any thief second thoughts. I like the look on the faces of the ladies who see that set up.

I wonder how much or little pressure / force it would take to pop that cable out of that cable type lock? Probably not an issue with a bar girl.

Thanks for the post I have been getting far too complacent recently and it is a needed wake up call. I remember being drugged in Venezuela, I only lost a couple of hundred dollars or so but I was so angry that I had been suckered, had a serious bad head for a day or so. Stayed at Dynasty as recomended by Jmac. Great location. Can go to walking street or soi 8 area in few minutes on the busses that go in circle for 10 baht. Took door girl from Manderian two nights. 3000 baht. No english total lover experince. Also took beer bar girls from soi8 and two from beach road after dark, Can say with all things in life you get what you pay for. Manderian girl was worth the money. One other 30 year old for 1, 500 baht. Was just nice. Placent. Enjoyed whole time. Very safe city. Many tourist with kids on walking street. Many condos being built. Nice international hospital right on beach. Makes you think about where to retire when old. If you are a monger it has to be on your list of places to see. I am glad I did.
