A retirement visa renewal requires 800,000 baht in a Thai bank account for at least 3 months before an application for renewal, or a combination of monthly pension or social security income plus bank account totalling 800,000 each year. At current exchange rates, that's about $23,000 USD.

Hua Hin is one of my favorite destinations in Thailand because it is off the tourist path and it is quiet. As far as the mongering scene goes, I am not knowledgable about this but how bad can any place be in Thailand. If you are willing to invest a little time and effort good times can be had.

I would not agree that the girls in Hua Hin are ugly. I'd say that, on average, they are more attractive than the ones in Pattaya. However, I'd say that there are far fewer of them, and the ones in Hua Hin are much more likely to be flaky, as many of them don't seem to be serious about being pros - they are just dabbling in it - and may only choose to go with guys who they find either attractive, or unusually generous. In Pattaya, pretty much all the pros are hardened pros.
Surely on the weekends when the office girls get freedom some must flock to the beaches at HH. A pakwan man could have some luck.

Been in Pilok again for a couple of days.
Some changes since my last visit are visible: Many new restaurants have popped up on and near the infamous PanSomBat Hotel block. Hookers are still in good supply and they appear to have quite a lot of business too. Asking price is B300 ST, but if you provide the room, B200 is what you would have to pay (some want less...).
Check out the hotel in the Lithai building for good rooms at better prices, A/C at appr B250.

Action still takes place on and near Soi Sri Boon Ruang 2 off Meechai Rd (google for map, thank you).
Girls where actively following me, asking for up to B500 ST or B1000LT.
A cute 20yo with a pretty round face asked for B500, but settled for B200 within a minute. She works with about six 'friends' in a typical Isaan style brothel (bring your own towel, tissue etc...) just 20 metres from SSBR2 on Meechai Rd.
She was damn hot and helpful in every way.

trip from Pilok: airbus B234 to Udon, songthaew in Udon B10, bus to NK B35, hotel in NK B200, food and drinks B85, girl B200.
Adds up to... not very much!

I'm afraid that the mongering scene in Langkawi is pretty bad.
Therefore I plan to make a trip to Satun in Thailand (1 hour with ferry).
Any updates or info regarding the scene in Satun?
Or other places not to far away from Satun.
All information will be appreciated.

I am amazed at the availability of p4p in rural Thailand. I intended to birdwatch in Kaeng Krachan Nat. Park (west of Phetchaburi). I couldn't find the lodge I intended to stay at, and in fact couldn't find any place open midweek. (All the signs in Thai and being already dark didn't help). I found a small restaurant near the Kaeng Krachan dam with some older people dreinking and eating, and asked if they new of an open hotel. Turns out the restaurant had a few cabins. Really basic (cold shower, manual toilet) but 300 baht. So I took a room, cleaned up, and went back to the restaurant for dinner. An old drunk guy started talking to me and at one point asked: "You like Thai ladies? " and I replied yes. The guy staggered away and I didn't think any more of it. Later a fat Thai lady sat down and asked if I want a Thai lady for that night, quickly assuring me she was not the lady in question, but rather it would be a "beautiful 19 year old. " We started talking about price, and the hotel lady, smelling money, said the price for the room was 600 if I had a lady. Eventually settled on 1500 for the room and the lady.
Returned to the room and a while later, a knock on the door and sure enough a very nice looking, probably around 19 year old, girl is there. Zero English, but we have a good night. I assume the girl was the daughter of one of the people at the restaurant.

I enjoyed your tale, but I think, from my experience in the backwaters, that it is very unlikely that people directly rent their daughters. Usually the girls who are 'bad' are by necessity a bit removed from their families due to the severe shame and embarrasment involved. In many cases they come from the next province over.
However I have only ever accessed girls in provincial capitals (and in one or two cases large secondary towns), so perhaps the girls in truly rural zones are more local. Many times any small 'bungaloe' style hotels (often called short time, sex, or 'f-ing' hotels) located in a remote rural area will have some girls on call. It is however rare that the girls will actually be waiting on premises as the police are always trying very strenuously to bust these bungaloe hotels, at least the ones which are not owned by police or paying heavily the policemen's bribes.
Lastly you do bring to our attention another interesting point abou P4P in backwaters - it is generally astonishingly overpriced!

I crossed the border at around 10 AM and it was easy. Walked around sightseeing for a while got a bite to eat and then headed back to the end of the bridge to get a guide to take me to the girls. I run into one that had said hi to me when I first got there but I wasn’t ready yet, I remembered him because his English was perfect, we had a nice long conversation about the laws in the USA and made it clear that I only wanted girls that were at least 18 years old, he assured me he would take care of everything and keep me safe. He had a motto and asked for 70 Baht, he said he’d take me to several places to find a girl I liked, sounded fair and he seemed like a good guy so I said OK. First Place – Down a dirt road to this run down building, we go inside and sit down, Slim talks to the boss while the girls are coming in, they are all cute and have nice little bodies, Slim asks me what one I like, I tell him and ask him to ask the girl if she is OK going with me, he talks to the girl, she smiles at me, says something to Slim and he tell me she is happy to go with me, I say OK, she takes my hand and leads me to her room. OMG what a dump but she does keep it neat so it’s not so bad. I sit on the bed while she locks the door, she comes over and we kiss, we take our clothes off and lay on the bed, she gives me a so-so BBBJ, puts the cover on and I get on top, she’s very small so it takes awhile but we get it all in, switch to doggie, I cum, she cleans me up, we get dressed and leave. Nothing fancy but it was exciting doing her in a place like that.

A few minutes later the boss comes in and tells me to hurry and get dressed, condom still on I get dressed and he leads me out a different way to some street and leaves me there, my hearts pounding oh shit what now, just then Slim rides up, I get on and he takes off. When we’re down the road a bit he stops and tells me that the police/army was in the area and they had to clear out. Now this is excitement I don’t need. LOL Slim asks what I want to do now and I tell him I didn’t finish so take me to another place.
Third Place – Same as before but no trouble this time.
At all of the places it was the same, one pop for about 30 minutes for 500 Baht, I tipped the first girl 100 Baht after but Slim said not to do that.
All in all it was worth it and I had a good time.
Slim is a great guy and will take good care of you if you want to see the city or if just want girls. He’s married with 2 boys and said he’s been doing this for 10 years, I would recommend him. I have his number if you want it.
