Everything sounds good ... just move on when you get tired of her taking you out, booming and paying
From the way the story reads I don't think theres any issues.
Theres no legal implication that it was yours and maybe now she just wants a ticket out of there.
I've lived in Manila for 5 years. Mongered in there for 20. And married one.
Your story reads like you got lucky with a gal who is well off. It happens.
Easy for you to check the money side. Check the family name. Remember in the Phils, thats 90 % of the wealth is owned by 10% of the country. And of that 10% theres about 50 families and their extended branches who control that.
Id relax. And determine if you want her in the US. The other thing is to determine if she can get the visa. Remember 92% of all visa applications get rejected at the Embassy. If she can get a visa its because shes got money. AND connections.
I know its not a current topic, but I was thinking about this today... I'm married to a pinay and have dated some chat girls on the side during visits. And here is one thing I noticed that I find ironic.
Look around their house and you'll find the couch, the TV remotes the iPod all wrapped in plastic to protect them. But.... Take them to bed and they do not want to wrap yours up in plastic...
The asawa "hates the feeling" The cam girls say the same thing, but I think they want to get knocked up (or be able to say they are) to scam you.
Just thought this was funny

Part is also mental. Using a condom is associated with prostitution.
I then had to head down south for business for a week and thats when i get the call from her saying she is pregnant
Positive pregnancy test after one week? I don't think so.
A few days later she tells me she has taken some medicine to stop the birth. Then after I leave the phils and get home she tells me she has been to a doctor and had it all taken care of.
They don't have RU486 or abortionists in the Phils. What happened is that you successfully called her bluff.
Bashing the Filipina ladies is just plane wrong. Here is why. So what if they want some happiness, don't everyone? I married one, yea and she was a bar girl and we had a good time for four days and she ask me to marry her and I did. That was thirty two years ago. Well long story short she is gone now. But she was the most wonderful person I could have ever spent my life with. She was strong willed to survive. We had three babies, the oldest is a Hydro Dam operater, the second teaches college and the third is in his first year of college. When we married we had $6. 00 to our name, yes it was a hard life we shared together, we roofed houses, we did every honest job we could find, we survived, she stuck by me through my bi-poplar and all my stupid decisions. My sweet pe-pie passed this time last year with cancer and fought it to the end so please I beg you lay off those girls or just walk right on by your not good enough for them. This is not my experience but someone else thought it would be good to post.

The main thing is that you have found happiness with your lady regardless if she was a bar girl previously. I know a few so called "LADIES" mainly European with a very nice and comfortable upbringing, got married to nice and proffesional men which looked after them to the extreme, bought their wives new cars, they never let them work also, because the men were earning good money, and guess what? the so called "LADIES" as soon as they reached about 40-45 years of age, I believe they got bored with their better half and they wanted to divorce them (most likely they found toyboys). IMHO I believe they were playing the field for quite a while behind their husbands back. The reason for the divorce was that THEY WERE NOT COMPATIBLE. It took them about 25 years to find that out. IMHO they had too much free time on their hands and that equallity crap as well. My point is a BAR GIRL got transformed into a LADY and the so called LADIES got transformed into PROS, especially now that the husbands assets have grown conciderably and they will get half the assets.
I wish you good luck and keep your chin up.

Wonderful...She was his soulmate...LOVE is NEVER LOST...It is ETERNAL..TRUE love is infact the shadow of the alimighty......they would be together in next life for sure....The universe will adjust this world to bring them together..
It sounds un-scientific..but only if all of humanity could find SOUL MATE....we all are trying to find one..these frustation, debate will go on till we find our true love and when we do..its all Bliss and Peace
Would a Filipino family go along with saying a girl is single even if she is not? My girlfriend is visiting family in the PI over the holidays. I've talked on the phone with her mom, dad, sister & brother. She has video web chatted to her mom, dad & lola with me present. But I have also seen a text message on her phone calling her asawa.

That actually makes a really good quote - in addition to it being the pearl of wisdom that is surely is...
For sh*ts and giggles, I started talking to a gal in Manila I met on DAI, studying to take a nursing exam to be able to work in the US. She is 23, gorgeous, yet a bit immature sometime. We've had long chats on the YM and webcam and is the real deal as far as her looks go. She has sent some provactive pics with her in panties and t-shirt. Granted I'm a decent looking, younger guy who loves filipinas (actually I just caught yellow fever), but still who knows of her true intentions, yet everything she says checks out
Now, whenever I go to DAI website, she will check if I'm there and will be quite jealous. She professes strong feelings, and I've even seen her reveal those feelings on the webcam after she asked if I would stop talking to her if I met someone else in the US. She's never asked for money and seems to be sweet and submissive (when she speaks English), emails constantly, and even puts my pics on her friendster page.
I like this gal, but take it with a grain of salt, who knows what can happen, she might meet someone else, she might have bad breath, and so on. I plan on taking a trip in March, and would like to know if I should implement a plan B in case things go south with this gal?
Yes you should if possible have plans B, C and D. None of your targets will be really surprised if an internet contact does not actually show up. Further, consider whether you can live with a girl so jealous and possessive. Perhaps you can use your alternates to inoculate her.

Yes, plan b would be very wise. Sorry for prying, but what is plan A?
