It's obviously individual choice but current medical inventions has given you this best choice, I am thankful to it and have used PEP personally when condom broke. In my case, it was touch and go, I withdrew within seconds after realization on condom broke, still took the medication and I am happy that I took PEP. Reason was simple for me, I was not ready to take point 1 chance. No long term side effects, minor short term side effects for first week.

The masseuse is very very likely to be a healthy person. A person has to be HIV positive *and* have a viral load sufficient to infect a healthy person like me. Condoms are not a hundred per cent safe. Microscopic tears on my balls and other unsuspected places can still come in contact with bodily fluids and infect me with shit. If my immunity is normal, there is practically zero chance of infection in an accident like the one in the original post.

It seems (not sure) if you are advocating not to use the condoms. If you are then you are mocking at the research and million of dollar spend to stop the HIV spread. There is no correlation between the number of times you have to do unprotected sex and HIV. If it is your bad day, you can get it even if it was your first time. There are lots of factors at play that makes it impossible to give any predictions. And most people seem to concentrate only on Hiv, while there are at least a dozen or more STDs out there with some that are lifelong and having disastrous effects on one's health and quality of life. By all means use condoms and avoid rawdogging when you are having sex with people you don't know. It is not possible to know people that well at all these days. I have a waiting list of housewives wanting to sleep with me without their husband's knowledge. Please do rush to a doctor for PEP in the event your the condom breaks. Still good to be cautious.

The bottomline is he wasn't even concerned about HSV as he was about the claps.

But this can cause issue to your partner. Doc mentioned the same. But one has HSV IgM positive should always be more cautious when intercourse with their partner.

The advice that the Doc suggested is to Avoid salivary contact with the **x Workers.

We all may know more the main diseases. But we may not have knowledge on this HSV.

So per your post, It is still good to be cautious.
