After the suggestions I got and doing some research I have decided to fly into Manila and stay there a couple nights then head to Puerta Galera for the rest of my stay.

I am heading in either Saturday 9/14 night or early Sunday until 9/24. I will be there for my birthday which is exciting. I usually don't make reservations beyond the first couple nights so I can stay free to do whatever seems good while I'm in a place.

Anyway, any hotel suggestions for Manila? I have been searching Agoda, but would like to hear if anyone has a gem they like to stay at.

It's 2 blocks East of the Manila bay, right next to the Hyatt Hotel and Casino. 3 short blocks South East of the Manila Bay Cafe, 2 blocks West of the Robinson mall.

The rooms are basic but quiet, and the sheets and the toilet are clean. They just reduced their rate again to about 2200 pesos. Lots of guys rave about the convenience of the location.

An Australian woman went on Tripadvisor. Com and bitched about the half-naked hookers hanging out in the lobby and the hallways, which tempted her boyfriend, hehehe. I was there for a week but did not see hookers so obvious. Did bring back many girls from MBC. The reception girls all know my big appetite, hehehe. I had some of the best time and best sex in Manila.

I really like the convenience of the location. If you set up dates with any girls, this place is easy to find. Any bro knows a better place in that same area, let me know.

FLT.[/QUOTE]Not sure what venues you plan to hit or what type of accommodations you are looking for, so maybe make that clear, but if you are planning on taking the bus to Sabang / Puerto Gallera, there are two options of leaving from two hotels in Ermita, or used to be. One at City State and Swagman's. Do a search on Sabang or something. If you decide to do those, I think they leave early so staying in Ermita or Malate for short taxi or walk or even staying at City State may be an option. I wouldn't stay at Swagman's and not sure if the bus still goes there for them.

I don't want to continue to bog down the forum so much, but I continued to be amazed at what an awesome community the Philippines forum is.

I've lived here in South Korea for nearly 4 years and I rarely am able to go on a vacation, so I am really grateful for all the info I have been getting.

One of my honeys wants me to take her to Laguna and see the waterfalls. Never been there. I am asking my bros if they have any info how to get to Laguna or suggest a reputable taxi driver to drive us there. I would really appreciate any help, info or suggestions. Just planning to stay 2 days there.

Taxi one-way Manila-Laguna will run you 1500-2000 (first bid from the driver might be higher).
