1. Coming from Classico disco walk towards the beach about 2 hundred yards and turn right. You will pass Bailey's restaurant on your left. Keep going straight and you will pass Casa Marina on your left. Keep going past Bologna restaurant on your left. Now go another 50 meters and it is on your right. 10 minutes walk from Classico disco.

2. Coming from Hotel Europa proceed along Pedro Clissante towards the beach. At Super Super liquor store turn right onto Calle Ayuntamiento. Walk down this street. You will pass the town hall on your right and a good restaurant called Mofongos. Keep going right to the end of the street then turn right in front of Bologna restaurant onto Alejandro Martinez and walk another 50 meters and it is on your right. 10 minutes walk from Hotel Europa.

3. Mount motoconcho and tell him to take you to Latinos Supermarket on Alejandro Martinez.

You can also buy a box of 96 pills for 1500 pesos, which would be just over 15 pesos per pill. Better than Black Ant.

If you want a cheap place to drink beer there are chairs outside and you can buy cold beer at supermarket price and sit and drink it outside. Personally I don't drink, but a lot of local residents go there in the early evening for a beer.

Is Sildenafil really the active ingredient in Black Ant? If that is also in Viagra, and approved by the FDA, whats the real problem the FDA has? That safety alert recommended throwing away Black Ant IMO without just reasoning. That alert seems awfully suspicious to me. It is more of a town than a barrio. I have wandered around Charamicos in the day time and found people perfectly friendly and no different from, say, in La Union or Montellano. There are a lot of small businesses there, but no tourist restaurants. Actually it is quite picturesque in parts with narrow lanes and quaint cottages and flowers in the yards, bougainvillea growing up the walls, etc. There is a place where you can rent rooms right next to the beach. I think the landlady is German.

What happens there at night I do not know. I believe the inhabitants all turn into vampires. I suppose any place is potentially dangerous at night, and the reach of the Tourist Police does not extend to Charamicos, but I have not heard of anything happening to anyone who went there.

The east end of Sosua is quite picturesque with some high class beach homes, quiet lanes, green fields etc. If you go up past the Playa Chiquita Casino. At Voramar Hotel there is the tennis club with 4 courts. Coming closer to town are some of the outlying hotels that you don't see discussed much on this board, and some smaller bars and restaurants, some of them German, and a couple of laundries. If you are leaving the center and go past Dr. Rosen there are several banks including ScotiaBank, which has a good ATM where you can get 10, 000 pesos, Super Super liquor store, a colmado that is open very late at night, maybe all night, a couple of Dominican and / or creole restaurants, an Emergency Clinic, a couple of restaurants like La Planchera and the New Cafe where you can get excellent breakfasts and good dinners too. In Calle Ayuntamiento is the 24 hour restaurant. Next to the New Cafe is the CMP Nightclub and brothel, and then you go a bit further to La Passion. Otherwise there is not much to see unless you are into chickens, goats, dogs.

It's a heavy seedy drug area. I have played Dominos there during the day with no problem but night time is not safe. La Union and Mantellano has gringos that actually live there with girls, and we are more excepted. If you ever catch Carib tours to Sosua, the station is in Charmicos.
