As well as Tinder, Couchsurfing is a great way to meet girls of university age. I've been using it for several years now, and had a lot of success without having to pay a single dime.

Don't request a place to stay (as the site is designed for), but just tell the girls that you're visiting Jakarta, would like to meet a local to show you around, be a tour guide for 1 day etc. Give them a compliment and say you find Indonesian girls beautiful, but she's especially beautiful. A lot of teasing and flirting. When you meet them, actually invest in their time and let them show you around, take them out for dinner and ask questions about life in Indonesia etc. Before making a move. You'll know if they're interested in you or not.

My most memorable experience was meeting a 21 year old whose family was currently away visiting relatives, and we had genuine fun "sightseeing", but by the end of the day it was clear she wanted to fuck me. She wouldn't come to my hotel as she had no experience of hotels and was scared, but I got sneaked in to her Kampung (a real slum area) in the middle of the night, not to arouse local suspicion. Most of my Indonesian friends tell me they tip the girl 100 k no matter what, and if they didn't like them, they just don't repeat.

However, here is how I tip those girls:

I do find it interesting that 2 people know this girl by name. I can't recall the name of even one girl I have been with at Hotel Classic although I have been with many. Personally, I'd give a 50 k tip if I managed to give her a long, hard pounding while she starfished, she didn't make any turnoff moves, and didn't press too hard for a tip. Maybe 100 k if the service was actually good and affectionate, but this has yet to happen to me at either Classic or Travel.

On the Demand side Oil and Gas and Mining expat numbers have tanked and I'm not aware of any other industries that have provided a large influx of cashed up foreigners.

On the Supply side, more and more girls are making their way to the big city for jobs and / or education.

I realize it was a long time ago, but during the Suharto exit / CRISMON years many expats left and rates could be bargained down to a half or third of the normal. Now it should be a buyers market but prices are going up.

Any ideas?

What's driving the prices up? Is Classic still the same low price?

I am an eternal optimist when it comes to searching for opportunities. The We Chat app has been close to a complete failure for me as far as "escort" girls who come to my place expressively for sex. I hadn't been to X2 in years, but woke up quite late last night and since most places were already closed, I decided to go to X2. I was likely the oldest guy in the place, but surprisingly had no problem at all meeting girls there and taking a very nice one home. I usually like to find a keeper for my week in Jakarta, useful for shopping, sharing meals, warming the bed. Someone that works during the day and likes a five star hotel rather than shared room they live in.

A richer experience than scooping one out of CJ's fucking them then fucking them off.
