Mamba is owned by Mail. RU their email system. Which also uses the real stats via TXT sms. The issue is their system only sends to european phone numbers. Even though USA is listed.

I'm trying to have my contacts over there send me the code. But with the delay in time the codes time out.

Actually New Years Eve is only one or two days of your trip, and you know, Kiew celebrates Christmas 3-4 weeks later than westerners, so you should find out when exactly the students really go on holiday (most go to the countryside). If they are in town, this is not bad, and in two weeks you should find some action.

More locals in the streets means more options for you, because you can address any girl in streets, shops etc and start some conversation. Ask for phone number, depending on your charm, sometimes it can lead to a date, I have had numbers from girls late in the evening and called them day after to meet. But really time-consuming.

Absolutely learn some lingo. Kyrillic alphabet is a must, for street names to start with, and many people there have negative attitude towards english-speaking people.

I am not sure what you mean by questiona about agencies. You are single, and marriage agencies are good for marriage minded wifes (women?) , if you are looking for this, you should go straight to them. Most of the single women are secretly hoping to find a decent guy to marry and take them, some to Europe, some to the states, some prefer Moscow. Well, maybe this is only my speculations, but I have not been shown to be wrong.

But really, the winters in Kiew can be terribly cold and long.

Anybody know if Ukraine enforces the 90/180 day rule? As I exited Ukraine, I noticed the agent specifically look at the dates of my past entrance / exit stamps. If somebody was to reside in Kiev without the proper residency papers, what's standard operating procedure to get around the law?

And according to the Canadian Government website I have to wait 90 days to re-enter or pay a possible fine? Anybody with any information on this issue?

I rented a nice apartment from Dobovo, that flat made a good impression to girls, but I didn't get a good customer care by Dobovo, I had to await for the plumber and I didn't receive any assistance when my wi-fi connection was down. I had a very good service by Grata agency even if its flats are unpretentious. I met Sergey Kulik five years ago and in my opinion he is a bandit!

I already payed some fine 2 years ago because of overextending.

This was during a border run to MD.

Actually, it looks that the passport control is even more strict controlling. In best case, you might exit just paying some fine; in worst case you risk being banned for up to one year, with a special stamp in your passport.

But even when only paying a fine when exiting, you have a good chance being refused when trying entering again.
